Our client a Leading MNC Media House is looking for Sr. Marketing professional.

Position – Marketing Head - (VP)

Compensation : Approx 40 lacs

Role Overview

Reporting to the Business Head, this role is a key leadership position within the channel. The incumbent will perform a pivotal role in shaping the channel’s Marketing strategy

Key Responsibilities

Overall

- Spearhead the entire marketing portfolio for the channel.

- Develop Marketing / Brand strategy for the channel in conjunction with Programming Leader for the Channel

- Develop a marketing calendar which meets business objectives in conjunction with business head and programming head

- Spearhead the development of strategic brand framework, brand architecture, manifestations and experience

- Develop marketing programme and communication theme to launch, develop and grow the viewership of the properties within the allocated portfolio.

- Drive marketing portfolio for key properties/brands.

- Create and drive innovative PR events around the channel/ shows

Financial

- Budget Management – plan and administer the Marketing budget to achieve maximum impact

- Ensure consistent growth in slot reach

Customers

- Effective management of external agencies & partners – Creative, Media, Outdoor and BTL agencies

- Liaison with internal stakeholders – programming, sales, distribution team

- Provide leadership to internal team and external agencies- media, creative, PR- drive synergy for a cohesive communication output

- Contribute towards increasing the Channel Reach by increasing the sample audience size for promotions of shows/ new launches

People

- Build and sustain a high-calibre team with a winning edge and monitor performance

- Ensure an appropriate environment where people feel empowered to contribute and feel rewarded for the same.

- Energize team members towards achieving stretch goals

- Build a performance driven culture, which is centred on execution.

- Develop learning culture in the team for individual development

Qualifications/ Requirements:

- A principle centred business leader, with great people skills and a passion for excellence

- Good understanding of consumer behaviour and ability to capture consumer insights into relevant marketing programme.

- Strong leadership skills with effective organization and planning capabilities

- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

- Self starter with bent for analysis and problem solving

- Team leader with good inter-personal skills

- Understanding of the genre

- MBA from a good B School preferred

- 10 – 12 years of relevant work experience of which at least 5 in a leadership role. Prior experience of handling a large portfolio is essential.

- Professionals from Media & FMCG sector preferred
