VP - Counterparty Credit & Market Risk Control - Investment Bank

About our Client:

Our client is one of the largest investment banks in the world and is looking to rapidly expand its presence in India with new roles and business functions being brought in from overseas.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Risk Head, you would manage a team, taking responsibility of progression and monitor development of all team members and be responsible for the following:

- Manage and control the daily identification and investigation, follow up and clearance of excess positions for all financial products within traded credit risk & market risk management

- Daily review of control reports covering Trades, Collateral's, Netting, Pricing and Credit portfolio exposures to determine and implement appropriate action

- Ensure daily process related to credit & market risk controls are handled in timely and accurate manner

- Analyze risk data flows to identify, define and design new control break points, propose enhancements and assist in user acceptance test of identified controls rollouts

- Analyze control breaks for adjustment / remediation tasks

- Define & undertake risk control process tasks to maintain and improve data quality flows across credit & market risk

The Successful Candidate:

- MBA with 10+ years of experience in the Investment Banking domain

- Professional certifications like CFA & FRM

- Strong background of credit risk controls and experience across trade, collateral, valuation, pricing, etc

- Understanding and track record of the Global Markets product set including Equities, Derivatives, Treasury, Fixed Income and Banking

- You should have a strong control background with good understanding of credit/market risk

- You should also have solid experience in controls in the trading environment

- Strong leadership skills, experience in leading projects and effective management of senior stakeholders along with strong communication skills are needed
