- We are seeking a dynamic individual to join the GM Business Management team, based in Powai, partnering with the global E-Trading Strategy team and the broader Wholesale Digital Office.
- The individual will work closely with the Global CAO of E-Trading Strategy. They will support the global requirements for the Electronic businesses in Fixed Income and FX and provide primary coverage of Asia and Japan
- The individual will assume day-to-day responsibilities which will contribute towards business management, performance monitoring, managing infrastructure and processes which support E-Trading Strategy as well as managing key projects that are critical for growth and day-to-day operations.
- Owning and Driving business management activities
- Work with the Global E-Trading Strategy CAO to drive strategy and delivery of roadmap
- Interact with Wholesale Digital Office and AI Lab to help deliver a fully coordinated digital strategy
- Work closely with the team, local support and HR to optimize the team structure and working environment
- Leading Financial Management and Control
- Manage budget and track actuals to inform key management decisions. Analyze and summarize revenue, expenses and resource consumption
- Control spend including approval of T&E and platform expenditure
- Work with vendor teams to manage suppliers of resources, software and data through the full lifecycle of on-boarding, manage and off-boarding on a day-to-day and a strategic basis
- Creating Strategic Business Analysis and Management Presentations
- Monitor preparation / Prepare weekly business summaries, which include financial metrics and business commentary
- Create executive level presentations to manage the business and support senior management communication and decision making
- Ensuring proper risk management and control
- Ensure adherence to business policies and conduct rules
- Report on Audit points and track to closure
- Manage Ops Risk process and Business Continuity Planning
- Independently lead and drive discussions with compliance and relevant control functions e.g. Internal Audit, Compliance, Front Office Supervision Control and Conduct
- Partnering with key stakeholders across Nomura
- Advocate E-Trading Strategy team and Wholesale Digital Office across the organization
- Work with GM desk and business managers to ensure the successes and challenges of the E-Trading Strategy team are recognized and supported
- Work in close partnership with Technology, Operations, Finance and other Corporate functions
- 6 years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and regional counterparts at senior levels
- Ambition and enthusiasm to succeed in this challenging role
- Strong Analytical and Situational Problem solving skills.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgets and financial policies, procedures and reporting
- Good Knowledge of Capital Market products (Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives)
- Good understanding of electronic business and platforms
- Is entrepreneurial and independent; a self-starter, takes ownership, exhibits integrity, initiative, strong motivation and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize high volumes of deliverables across multiple disciplines working under pressure
- Good project management skills - planning, coordination/ execution, senior management reporting, situational
