LOCATION - Mumbai (Lower Parel)

OFFERED CTC - negotiable ; depending upon current CTC.

REPORTING : SVP

REPORTEEs : Managers / Senior Managers

JOB DESCRIPTION - 

The position is a leadership role with CLIENT.

The successful candidate will report to Senior Vice President Strategic Alliances, to be based out of Mumbai. The individual will work with key internal stake holders, operations, underwriting team, actuary / pricing teams, IT & Tech teams, marketing, account management and legal / compliance team to grow CLIENT's insurance partnership across Banks, NBFC, HFC etc

The role is market facing and the successful candidate will work to develop, expand, and maintain a positive long-term, high impact, value-adding and trusted relationship with the client and its executives across Banks, NBFC, HFC etc

As a VP Strategic Alliances (Business Development) executive you will be a self-starter with the drive of a true hunter, motivated to build client relationships and deliver new business partnerships which will be instrumental to the CLIENT's success.

Your priorities will be setting strategy, identifying key target segments and connecting with C-level executives as well as executing on the strategy, closing deals, building the sales pipeline and delivering on your targets. You have a strong ability to identify and recognise a client's business challenges and needs and can provide the tailored solution required to support CLIENT's growth engine.

Your experience in B2B sales and strong senior level relationships will be added advantage. You will be passionate about selling Life insurance business solutions and have had previous success in delivering on large deals and sales targets. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in a variety of areas to support your team in CLIENT. You will be a balance between a practical, hands on mindset with a creative business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will be outstanding.

Role and Responsibilities

- Balancing both the strategic and tactical elements of deal negotiation

- Growing CLIENT's presence in the NBFC, HFC, Banks etc industry

- Extending external networks with key insurance distributors across Banks, NBFCs, HFCs

- Contribution to proposal development including in areas of client insight, approach, pricing, and deal closure

- Leadership of key dimensions of thought leadership and proactive client engagement strategies

- Developing internal networks with key stake holders

- Presentation to key decision makers for business partnership

Accountabilities

Industry and Client Understanding - Brings a thorough knowledge of the client, its industries and culture. Understands the client's key challenges, initiatives and strategic direction. Educates and shares knowledge with the client lead partner and team to identify areas of opportunity for CLIENT

Client Relationships - Proactively identifies, approaches and enhances strong relationships with key executives, decision makers and influencers at the client.

Origination - Responsible for the development of senior client relationships from scratch

CLIENT Advocate - Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant CLIENT product offerings and our processes in order to best represent CLIENT to the clients. Leverages the benefits and positioning of all CLIENT products and services and is able to recognize an opportunity and connect with the appropriate CEO/CXO/ C suite executives across the Banks/ NBFCs/ HFCs etc

Meeting follow-up - Working with Key influencers and follow-up on action items from client relationship and business development meetings.

Pipeline development - build and oversee pipeline of opportunities for MPH/CA tie up

Proposal development - proposal development, focusing on the CLIENT value proposition, key differentiators, and win themes. Assist with developing the commercial proposal

Skills & Qualifications

The successful candidate must have significant and demonstrated experience in Life and Non-Life insurance, and already established trusted client relationships within the industry. Prior directly relevant experience is required, where leading business development was a primary responsibility. The successful candidate will be a strong sales and relationship manager and have proven skills in Business development in Life/ non-Life industry

- Bachelor's Degree / Postgraduate or equivalent

- 10 + years of experience in direct selling/consulting/working within the insurance industry

- Individual and team leadership with excellent written, presentation and communication skills

- Exceptional consultative and interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of impeccable trust, confidence and results with senior and C-suite executives

- Proven ability to connect with people and top management

- Full understanding and practical experience of all stages of the opportunity and sales cycle for high - end major accounts

- Demonstrated experience in managing projects, staff and internal initiatives or strategic programs

- Demonstrated a good understanding of the consulting/advisory world and how CLIENT product offerings can be presented to Banks/ NBFCs/ HFCs as solutions to their issues
