VP/AVP - Strategy

Key Accountabilities:

- Project Delivery: Structuring end-to-end deck with clear messaging, developing clear frameworks, generating commercial insights and data-driven solutions, running a project plan, with considerations to dependencies and interaction with stakeholders, delivering client-ready analysis with logical flow, which is high quality and timely

- Business Knowledge: good understanding of capital markets products, FinTech, retail banking, payments and wealth management; understanding of trends in the banking industry and their implications on business lines/functions and strategic agenda

- Team Development: exhibiting leadership on projects, fostering a collaborative spirit, contributing to team output, and mentoring and developing junior members

Stakeholder Management and Leadership:

- Stakeholder Management: owning and driving client relationships; proactively managing expectations, conflicts, issues and risks, building relationships with stakeholders across businesses and functions, and engaging and influencing on relevant levels. Work as part of a team that advises Group ExCo Executives and the Board in making informed decisions on the most pressing business challenges and opportunities facing by organisation.

Decision Making and Problem Solving:

- Problem solving and creative thinking: someone who can handle ambiguity and develop well thought out hypotheses, break down complex problems into manageable components and solve in a systematic, consistent, and logical way

- Leadership: someone who can lead day to day execution of projects, interface independently with clients, and engage stakeholders to generate solutions and ideas for future work

- Technical expertise: fluency using our preferred analytical and communication tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. with outstanding written and verbal communication to be able to deliver exemplary client ready output, confidently, accurately and in a timely manner

Risk and Control Objective:

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- Post Graduate, ideally with an MBA Degree from top tier institutions

- 6-10 years of relevant experience in either:

Top tier Strategy Consulting Firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy &)

Strategy divisions of Management Consulting Firm (Deloitte, Accenture, PwC, EY, KPMG)

Relevant team (Group Strategy or Investment Banking) in a bulge bracket bank (JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, BoAML, CITI, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, UBS, HSBC, BNP, Soc Gen, Barclays)

Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:

- Good knowledge of capital markets products, Fintech, retail banking, payments and wealth management

- Familiarity with emerging trends and disruptive business models in financial markets

- Working knowledge of regulatory trends in financial services
