Vodafone Idea - Vice President/Head - Enterprise & IT Commercial

Job Purpose:

- Develop & lead the implementation of IT & Enterprise category strategy & team that will be responsible for Vi's profitability through substantial cost savings /value benefits from: Leveraging scale & scope, performance centric supplier contract, use of innovative commercial models, drive sourcing of innovative technology through supply market expertise, supplier rationalization opportunities and ensuring that the long term sourcing decisions are considered during category development

- The role demands very dynamic & adaptable approach for supporting Business objectives.

- Represent Commercial in influencing best practice standards through participation in relevant Forums.

KRA:

- Lead the Vertical for IT, Data Centre & Enterprise procurement

- Responsible for delivering the optimal cost of ownership for the category, savings targets and demonstrable value-add activities whilst securing the delivery of projects, goods and services across category,

- Responsible for managing a team of procurement managers ensuring collective and individual accountability and success.

- Touch Points: Enterprise Wholesale & Mobility Team, Various stakeholder in IT such as (Infra, Application, New Projects, Professional Services, Data Centre, New Product Development, IoT, Domestic Leased line and Managed Services etc.

- Responsible for delivering innovative commercial models, contributing to the category supplier roadmap and ensuring that long term sourcing decision are considered during category development.

- Manage supply chain complexity in an increasingly complex supply chain environment with Speed & Simplicity.

- Manage Category spend of IT, Data Centre & Enterprise and and delivering savings target.

- Guiding team to develop category strategy of 1-3 years to optimise total cost of ownership of IT, DC & Enterprise

- Provide leadership support for customer bid submission.

- Accountable for making recommendations on vendor selection in accordance with supplier roadmap and innovation for IT, DC & Enterprise category.

- Lead negotiation and contract closure with suppliers to ensure business requirements are met

- Manage supply chain complexity, perform risk assessment in an increasingly complex environment to minimise organisational risk

- To proactively meet complex supply chain issues by making better use of data to enable greater intelligence through the use of expanded flow of information.

- To enable business process automation for faster decision making and insights to deliver better

- Leverage supply base intelligence to improve Vi's commercial position (lowest cost benchmark globally) and become the recognised expert within organisation.

- Key Supplier performance measurement and improvement plans

- Leverage scale benefits and operating efficiencies with continuous focus on cost optimization and increase in productivity through effective negotiation and contracting

- Team development

- Ability to develop & maintain credible business relationship with business stakeholders and develop, maintain and demonstrable subject matter expertise.

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw big picture insights from large volume of diverse data

- Technical knowledge of IT, Data Centre & Enterprise or specific sub-category

- Capability to operate in a changing environment and to drive significant change in to the organisation

- Ability to manage a wide range of supplier relationships, from short term tactical relationships to long term strategic partnerships.

Must have technical / professional qualifications - Graduate/Engineering Graduate (preferred)/MBA

- Certification in the field of Supply Chain (preferred)
