Vodafone Idea - Vice President/ Head - Active Network/Cloud/Core/Tx/IN - Telecom

Job Purpose :

- To ensure industry-best techno-commercial deals in the area of Cloud, Core, Tx, IN, Enterprise (NW), LI etc..

- To achieve maximum synergy savings and best possible prices and credit terms for the company thus ensuring sustainability of the company in this hyper-competitive telecom environment.

KRA:

Active NW procurement (Cloud, Core, Tx, IN, LI etc.)

- Releasing the commercial RFP to the vendors.

- Negotiations with the main suppliers for network items like: Cloud, Core CS and PS, PCRF, STP, NLD (DWDM), IP-MPLS, IN, Enterprise-NW, LI etc.

- Cost comparison among vendors and benchmarking with last prices/terms and price analysis based on different parameters.

- Governance of the RFP process.

- Multiple presentations to the SteerCo. and Shareholders for these RFP and the Capex budget.

- Approval from the SteerCo. and the Shareholders.

- MoU sign-off with all the vendors post RFP negotiations.

- Price sheets finalizations.

- Releasing the communications to all the circle commercial/CST/SSC for POs.

- Cash flow management for the NW capex budget

- Identify opportunities for optimizing specifications/scope and hence costs for project procurement.

- Evaluate options for alternate vendor introduction in the system for lower costs and better vendor management.

- Support senior management for creating options for strategic buying for optimizing the spend and deployment of latest cutting edge products and solutions

- Review of BoQs to eliminate all extras or surpluses

- Define a process for implementation of BoQs

- Implement standardized BoQ and ensure adherence to the norms and eliminate deviations

Core Competencies:

- Strategic thinker with leadership and influencing abilities

- Strong professional background in Physical Supply Chain, preferably in Telecom

- Experience in supplier relationship management in a dynamic environment

- Stakeholder management

- Team management

Must Have's:

- Graduate/MBA/BE

- Reasonably good knowledge of SAP and other ERP tools on materials management
