Vodafone Idea - Vice President - CS Core/STP DRA/VoLTE & VAS Operations

Job Purpose :

Responsible for the Robust Operational Governance of the National CS Core (CS, STP and VoLTE) & Value Added Services (VAS) network, under the Corporate Central Operations Group (COG-Active Ops) Function. To administer a quake free and quality service network, with a 388Mn customer base, and generating a 21Bn MOU, in a multi-technology environment (FL, 2G, 3G, 4G Voice SMS, VoLTE, IMS, VOIP, Enterprise and VAS-Messaging, Roaming & Enabler platforms).

Role involves directing & guiding a dedicated team at Corporate office, Circle & SNOC teams, and MS workforce teams to ensure & safeguard operations of an intricate network (virtualized & legacy), comprising of 5500+ network elements-, by providing operational guidelines, delivering timely operational synergies and crafting a steadfast network, through best practice standardization, innovative solutions and expert guidance.

Ensure seamless integration of two networks & achieve unified service operations, whilst improving network operational performance, reducing OPEX and avoiding negative impact on CSAT,

- Core CS Domain: MSC/GMSC, MSS/GCS, BC, MGW/GMGW, STP/SPS/DSR, DRA, MNP DB, HLR-(Mono, DX, NT), UDC, HSS, NDS, CDS, EIR/AUC, IMS, TAS, SBC, Core MPBN-Routers & L2/L3 Switches, R4 Routers, STP Routers), EMS, PMS tool, Voice LI.

- VAS Domain: Messaging: SMSC, SMSR (P2P, A2P), Ent SMSC, SMS Firewall, SMS Gateway/Hub, BMG, LBS, MMSC, NTMS, USSD BE/Promo/CG, PCN, DND, WAP GW, VAS LAN

Roaming: RTSP, RQM, SRS/SPRS, WSMS, IR21 Portal, CRMS, SIMMUX, DSTK, SIGOS, GLR, VHE, WSMS, UCC, and International SCCP/DRA roaming BICS & TCL Management.

3rd Party Servers: CRBT, RRBT, Flash, Buddy finder, IBD/OBD, Voice Portals, Voice SMS/AVSMS, MCI, IVR, Other 3rd party servers.

Key Responsibility :

1. Responsible to Administer & Govern the National CS Core (CS, STP and VoLTE) & Value Added Services (VAS) network, so as to ensure end-to-end service availability & superior service operations, by MS partners, OEMs, Circle teams & SNOC/Hub teams, with a proactive focus, and nil revenue loss/leakages.

2. Drive network consolidation and integration to SNOC, and resolve operational challenges, by extending expertise/support to circle teams, and providing strategic direction, to realize targets timely, with nil impact on CSAT and KPIs.

3. Streamline and standardize operational processes, disaster recovery, network stabilization programs, network modernization and transformation to cloud platforms, at a national level, with focus on delivering operational excellence & unified process synergies, across circles.

4. Assess the Network OPEX Costs & Budgetary provisions for the domain, with focus on OPEX cost control. Co-ordinate for vendor RFP formulation and facilitate on ground adherence, in sync with circles.

5. Achieve continuous improvement in KPIs, OLAs, and SLAs as per the MS SOW T&C and Central SOPs, through Daily/Weekly/Monthly reviews, so as to ensure service compliance.

6. Enrich customer experience, by ensuring that network systems features & VAS Roaming services are functional, and network complaint resolution TATs are met, across circles, so as to boost business continuity.

7. Uphold a proactive culture within the team. Motivate & Guide team towards end goals with minimal supervision.

Develop competency in team and Assess the skillset and competency levels of key MS partner resources, working in the domain, so as to ensure best in class service.

8. Ensure regulatory & TRAI compliance in the CS Core, STP, VoLTE & VAS domain, as per benchmark.

Strategic management of Access and Long Distance Point of Interconnects.

Core Competency:

- B.E. Electronics and Communications with a Post Graduate/Masters in Management (Operations).

- Profound Understanding of the telecom functional arena having lead a team size of 10+ resources.

Overall Work experience of at least 17-20years in telecom domain, principally in managing CS Core, STP DRA, VoLTE, VAS domain network areas.

- Excellent Governance & Vendor Management skills, with a strong business acumen and customer focus.

- Ability to Direct Team Leads & Guide Talent, to achieve end goals, in a dynamic & challenging ecosystem
