Role Solution Lead- Devices

Function / Department : VIBS - IOT Business

Location : Mumbai

Job Purpose :

Role purpose : To develop ecosystem of devices and sensors for various IOT application through in house capability/partnership approach which would meet customer requirement

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities :

- Define the roadmap of devices and sensors for various IOT applications from Telematics, Utility, Smart city and industrial use cases

- Closely work with Product team and device teams to evaluate and selection of right partnership and engagement model and provide market/business inputs to product and solution teams

- Partner with our Upstream Sales and Business Development teams to identify new project concepts and then develops these concepts to fill the business product portfolio.

- Understanding customer requirement from device and application perspective and propose right partner mix to meet the customer requirement

- Deliver pilots and proof of concepts for success for device and apps and monitor the performance.

- Hardware and Firmware release management for VIL

- Closely coordinate and interact with regulatory agencies including TSDSI, TEC, DOT & TRAI for device specifications and participate into white papers, draft specification and ensure adherence

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience :

- 10-12 years of experience in presales with various IOT applications like Telematics, Utility, health care, Industrial IOT etc

- Technical understanding of IOT ecosystem including Chipset, module, platform, device and application

- Understanding of IOT and mobility and device regulation and GSMA/3GPP standards and specifications

- Ability to create partner eco-system and support bespoke requirements.

- Excellent communication skills including verbal, presentation, email and social interaction.

- Customer relationship management skills with ability to interact comfortably at C- level

Must have technical / professional qualifications :

- Engineering Graduate in Electronics and Telecommunication /Post Graduate

- Detail understanding of various device protocols like MQTT/CANBUS/ MODBUS/RS-232/485

- Must have worked as senior lead at Presales/Product organization for at least 10 years around Enterprise solution and products

- Regulatory understanding and m2m guidelines and ability

Years of Experience 10-12 years of technical experiences in M2M device/applications/partner companies and complex solution implementation
