Role : Product Lead - Application & Platform Function / Department : VIBS - IOT Business Location : Mumbai Job Purpose Role purpose : - Define the IOT applications & platform roadmap and strategy through in house/ partnership based approach and also develop internal IT & NW capabilities and align with the overall Business strategy - To convert Platform capabilities into IOT product offering that helps to serve multiple use cases for the manufacturing and services companies Key Result Areas/Accountabilities : - Identify the business and architectural requirement for IoT platforms in the market and how they handle present and futuristic IOT requirements - Develop a framework for IOT applications from Telematics, utility, smart city and industrial IoT use cases on the adopted IoT platform. - Develop frameworks for embedded firmware and client based agents for the end to end sensor, device, gateway, and platform based communication. - Create business case the for Apps & Platform adoption based on the applications roll out on case to case basis and revenue projection for next 5 years - Evaluation and selection of right partnership and engagement model and provide inputs to partner's product release plans - Deliver pilots and proof of concepts for success for platform and apps and monitor the performance to offer data security and service level agreements based solutions. - Ensure that new Applications and use cases are launched in agreed timeframes by effectively interfacing with cross functional teams including Technology, Customer Service, Finance, Legal, regulatory as well as Vodafone Group Teams. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience : - 10-12 years Experience in Product Management /development at a Technology vendor with a M2M and IoT focus on an Enterprise, Industrial, smart cities and agricultural verticals in the IoT domain - Knowledge and experience as a technical architect on IoT platforms preferably Siemens, ABB, GE, IBM Watson, PTC Thingworx, AWS and MS Azure. - Knowledge and experience in applications developed for ERP, SAP, SCADA, Machine learning and Analytics. - Experience in architecting frontend and backend software development and SDLC based development. - Worked in project based environments for scripting languages and UI/UX designing fro application development. - Strong domain understanding of M2M/IoT technologies, M2M regulations and systems like CRM, IoT Billing, IoT Provisioning and IoT Device ecosystem is desired. - Powerful influencing / negotiation skills, effective relationship management skills and proven ability to function within a matrix-organization - Ability to interact and make presentation to customer's senior decision makers and partners. Must have technical / professional qualifications : - Engineering Graduate/Post Graduate in Electronic and Communication Years of Experience - 10-12 years of technical experience in IOT applications and platform
