Role Manager - Technology & Digital Laws

Function / Department : Legal

Location : Corporate Office, Mumbai

Job Purpose :

- To act as a subject matter expert for digital and technology laws. Primarily responsible for providing legal support to the digital transformation team and help in mitigating legal risks for the organization from technology, digital and privacy laws perspective.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities :

- Provide legal support to the digital transformation vertical on a variety of day-to-day legal matters including regulatory compliance, intellectual property- issues and innovative initiatives;

- Contract negotiation and drafting of complex technology contracts, critical to the ongoing operations

- Provide product counselling, go-to-market support, counsel on business and strategy and on commercial transactions

- Support on policies such as Privacy Policy, Information Security Policy etc.

- Coordination with shareholder groups on various initiatives to gain knowledge and best practices

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience :

- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience

- Good understanding of technology and digital trends and advancements

- Legal insights on areas of e-laws, digital & information technology laws, applicable laws and developments in the legal field

- Understanding of privacy laws as applicable in India and other jurisdictions

- Good analytical skills to understand and apply developments in legal field to ever changing technology and digital trends and advancements

- Good drafting skills

- Good communication skills, both oral & written, and interpersonal skills to manage different internal and external stakeholders.

Must have technical/professional qualifications :

- LLB

- Graduate from top law school/college

- International qualification would be an added advantage

Years of Experience :

Minimum 5 years of post qualification experience in contracting, Information technology laws, corporate laws
