Vodafone Idea - Head - IP/MPLS Planning

Job Purpose :

a) Definition and delivery of VIL technology Strategy to ensure an exceptional level of services experience at all times.

b) Managing team that architects, designs and develops solutions and tools for managing the infrastructure in a telco service provider and data centre environment ; involving automation of configuration and validation of networking and virtual infrastructure

Key Responsibility :

- IP/MPLS Products RFP including Core, Access and Data Centre Products laying out technical requirements for new products.

- Guide on IP product feature Specifications, Scales & Lean Specifications.

- Promote Network Automation using SDN for all products. Plan IP NW Modernization.

- Maintaining network Capacity of Circle IP/MPLS Network based on Business Projections for various mobility and enterprise services.

- Issuing network architecture and Services Guidelines for Circle IP/MPLS Network.

- Vendor discussion, technical evaluation, Solution finalization with vendors BOQ and Scope Of Work finalization.

Core Competency :

a) Deep understanding of product features and Scale, Technologies Evaluation for IP/MPLS network nodes with new Technologies Evaluation.

b) Exposure to agile automation tools, 3GPP specification and call flows between various elements such as RAN, IMS, EPC etc.

c) Strong vendor-management skills to interface with Suppliers for product evaluation

d) Advanced analytical skills to understand business requirements and translate them to network requirements

e) Understanding of various automation tools (SDN) and techniques for IP Network to minimise effort and increase accuracy.

f) Strong interpersonal & team management capabilities.
