Role- Principal Product Development Manager - Business Communications & Cloud Store

Job Purpose:

The role includes design, development and roll out of a future fit new services/ capability roadmap for the entire business communications and cloud store portfolio delivering first time right customer experience. The role demands high cross functional engagement for development of a future ready portfolio incorporating latest technologies around IP Telephony, UCaaS, CPaaS and Cloud Market-place. The role is key to bridge the market requirements and the technology capability to deliver a cutting edge, commercially viable and within the timelines product portfolio with improved features and differentiators thereby enabling an edge in the market.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

- New Product Roadmap ownership and delivery as per defined timelines. Converting market & business requirements into a robust product design blueprint.

- Ensure robust service design to shorten the opportunity to revenue cycle and deliver strong CXX. Ensure timely launch and CFT interactions through tight project management framework.

- Lead dispersed cross functional teams across CS, Technology planning, RA, Operations, legal, Regulatory, Delivery, engineering and solutions to deliver flexible and commercially viable products, features & functionalities and manage the stringent timelines to deliver the product.

- Evaluation & embracing of new technology/services to enable a technology leadership for the portfolio. Develop PoCs, as well as define & manage partner engagements to implement and deliver productized solutions.

- Ensure smooth product/ capability launch by handholding initial opportunities through the opportunity to deliver and run stage, ironing out any process gaps that emerge in the launch phase.

KPIs:

- Future fit portfolio roadmap planning

- New product launches (Cloud Store 2.0, Managed SIP, UCaaS, HCC and more) as per committed timelines and budgets

- Innovation in terms of bringing in new technologies/ partners or bundled solutions

- Robust service design and product that delivers the targeted CXX

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience:

- Specialised role with and ability to think beyond and develop the telephony, UC, cPaaS and SaaS portfolio in this fast changing technology landscape. Product development as well as project management experience or technical engineering/operations experience in the communications, collaboration and cloud domain.

- This role is the think tank that should have the skill set to evaluate newer technologies and keep VIL in pace with the market looking at innovation and differentiators that technology will create in future. Deep understanding of technologies like IP, UC, SaaS and market place..

- Experience of evaluating and influencing partners across the technology, roadmaps, operational and financial parameters.

- Experience in handling dynamic, high-growth, high-uncertainty environments.

- Must have technical / professional qualifications Technical / professional qualifications:

- BE or equivalent

- Certifications on Agile/ITIL/Other Technologies

- Engineering Graduate /Post Graduate
