Vodafone Idea - eLearning Specialist - Instructional Designer - Customer Service (5-8 yrs)

Job Purpose: The role is required to collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning and scheduling of the design and development of courses and on updates, revisions and maintenance; oversee the course development process to meet course offering deadlines; assure course design meets accessibility and Quality Matters standards.

The position is also responsible for evaluating curricular materials, providing expertise in research based learning strategies and offering guidance on quality practices that can be incorporated into online, hybrid and blended courses.

Key Accountabilities / Key Result Areas

- Customer Experience Management

- Participate and Collaborate in concept development and design ideation for digital learning modules applying eLearning principles, game based learning and other interactive learning modules

- Collaborate with subject-matter experts, stakeholder(s) to align content to learning objectives, create instructionally sound and engaging learning opportunities, and develop quality assessment tools

- Liaise with cross functional teams to identify and comprehend requirements for digital content

- Design and Development

- Conceptualize, design, develop, and deploy e-learning content using web-based modules - video, simulations, and games based on business needs

- Develop content outlines, storyboards, scripts, including compiling multimedia assets for digital modules

- Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work

- Identify content concepts that can be translated to digital/self-paced learning

- Innovate and create e-learning/games/simulations via use of in-house content development tools

- Ability to manage projects to meet deliverable dates

- Manage day-to-day activities of assigned projects, communicate status updates and proactively identify any risks to ensure appropriate planning measures are taken to assess impacts of scope change

- Manage deployment of curriculum on LMS from initial content upload through online review, stakeholder review, quality assurance, and release

- Implementation Support and Measurement

- Participate in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and creative solutions to improve policies, processes and tools

- Technology Requirement

- Remain current with and have a thorough understanding of the emerging applications of instructional multimedia, instructional technology and trends in online education, and implement improvements

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

- At least 5-8 years experience in the field of training, specific experience in digital content development

- Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills

- Experience in mobile-based learning content creation (preferred)

- Highly adept with the latest trends, technologies, learning solutions, best practices, and methods as they relate to digital learning production and instructional design

- Knowledge of real-world application of ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy and Adult learning concepts and principles

- Working experience in interactive courseware, computer-based training, multimedia instruction, and/or web-based training

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required

- Certification in Instructional Design, strongly preferred

- At least 3 - 4 years working knowledge of digital content creation tools like MS Office, Articulate Storyline and/or 360, Adobe Captivate as well as collaboration software such as WebEx, etc. required

- Experience working with an LMS required
