Responsibilities:
- Focus on building state of the art, scalable, and self-learning systems for information extraction from documents
- Optimize and develop advanced algorithms to solve complex problems
- Dig into large data sets using data mining techniques such as hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval processes etc.
- Build both supervised and semi-supervised models within both unstructured and semi-structured environments
- Synthesize diverse, complex information and develop innovative analytic frameworks
- Understand existing complex Java algorithms and optimize them to achieve better accuracy
- Enjoy being challenged to solve complex problems on a daily basis
- Link and mash up distinctive data sets to discover new insights and communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear and precise manner
- Interaction with external or internal stakeholders to directly understand the business problem, help and aid in the implementation of ML algorithms to solve problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in an analytical or scientific field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science
- 1+ years of strong experience in data analytics and machine learning
- Hands-on experience with any statistical software such as R, Python, MATLAB, SPSS or SAS
- Hands on experience with A/B Testing with complex and unstructured data-sets
- Experience in predictive modeling and analysis with strong problem-solving ability
- Good understanding of current software and analytics systems being used in large enterprises
- Good understanding of design and architecture principles
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, judgment and decision making skills, and the ability to work under continual deadline pressure
