This opening is with a leading kitchen appliance brand, based in Chennai. The incumbent, will report to top management. They will own the innovation process for the business and will also be responsible for charting new category entries. They will build and manage the long-term pipeline for new products in-line with business goals. The ideal candidate will be process driven and be well versed in New Product Development systems. RESPONSIBILITIES : - Lead all innovation projects by working closely with cross-functional colleagues - New Product Strategy - Understand company goals & objectives w.r.t innovation & NPD - Conduct Comprehensive Surveys: Consumer Insights, Key Features, Market Innovations, Competitor Detailers, Pricing Benchmarks - Preliminary Launch Plan: Retail &amp; e-Com Strategy, Trade Schemes &amp; Positioning - Work with Business Analyst on: Viability Study, P&amp;L Projections, Project Planning - Product Development - Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to set project networks &amp; timelines - Enable sourcing decision: OEM / Imports, Prototype Development &amp; Assessment - Work with product development teams on: tech specs, BOM, Drawings, Qual Norms, Performance / Design Study - Pre-Launch Closures - Spearhead packaging development - Prepare launch plan &amp; activities - Recommend and obtain final pricing sign-off - Post Launch Monitoring - Pilot lot - Ensure execution of marketing plans &amp; sales strategy - Evaluate sales performance &amp; trigger schemes to enable push - Check in-market pricing &amp; promotion performance QUALIFICATIONS : - MBA from a top tier B-school - Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred - 6 - 9yrs. experience in FMCG / FMCD / across sales &amp; marketing - Project &amp; Timeline management skills - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Cross-functional and upward stakeholder management skills - Strong drive for understanding business and consumer - Ability to work in a fluid environment Location: Adyar - Chennai, with occasional travel to HO. 25% Travel for Market &amp; Consumer understanding
