Vise President - Engineering - SaaS - Enterprise Product Expertise - HR Startup

10+ years of experience in handling the following responsibilities (preferably in enterprise products)

We are looking for a Technologist who has delivered rock solid enterprise SAAS products

The candidate must have seen entire lifecycle of a cloud based SAAS product especially the journey of building the product from scratch, stabilizing the product and scaling the product to the next level. Hence familiar with the challenges of building, stabilizing, optimizing and scaling the SAAS product from the following perspectives

Product architecture

- Build/release and configuration management process

- Scalable and optimized back-end, mobile app and mobile platform technologies

- Quality process and its automation

- Server availability, security and backups

- Must have experience in hiring and building a top quality technology team

- Genuinely passionate about technology that would naturally drive him to

- keep abreast of new technologies

- be hands on who can roll up the sleeves work with the team in the times required

Technical Stack Requirements

- Exposure to LAMP/ MEAN stack is a plus even though we believe language is just a syntax for the right person

- Exposure to NoSQL databases especially MongoDB is a plus as one of key challenges this person needs to address is managing server scaling, fine-tuning, performance/cost optimization and we use MongoDB

- Exposure to cloud environment especially AWS is a plus as we host our entire product on AWS using multiple services of AWS

Key Result Areas:

- We expect the role holder of this position to take accountability and deliver the following

- Foresee where things can go wrong in a multi-tenant cloud based system and mitigate such risks proactively to ensure

- 24- 7, 365 days availability of server to the clients

- client's data is safe, secure and proper mechanisms are in place for data backups, data confidentiality in a multi-tenant system

- Scalable and optimized code and DB queries are in place so that response time and data accuracy won- t be impacted for the client despite need for processing large chunks of data

- There is continuous integration between product, design, development and QA teams so that releases go smooth and there are no avoidable production bugs

- Determine and recommend methods to bring more automation and innovation to software development including emerging technology capabilities (E.g. Big data)

- Take accountability for stringent needs on (i) time to market, and (ii) quality of product - functional and non-functional aspects - Proactively hire and build technology team to meet the product needs

- Take right calls on all aspects on technology at the right time
