Virtual Internships - Community & Content Manager (1-8 yrs)

Delhi/Bangalore/Chennai Job Code: 1124680

Community & Content Manager (Fully Remote)

Would you like to join a rapidly growing company where you can build a community from scratch through storytelling?

Are you a confident, self-driven and determined performance marketer who has experience in managing large scale communities and creating engaging content for professionals?

Virtual Internships is an EdTech Scale-Up that delivers global work experience programs that help young people to pursue their dream career.

We're proud to be in 'Tech in Asia's Top 50 Rising Startup' List (No.6 in Vietnam) and a winner of The Escape 100: the top purposeful organisations to 'escape' to in 2022. Backed by some of the world's top investors who were early investors in Airbnb, Zoom and LinkedIn, you'll be joining a diverse and passionate team of 130+ working in our hub office in HCMC, and across 25+ countries that believe that remote work is here to stay.

If you want to work in a flexible working environment where you can use your creativity and can-do attitude to build a strong business community, then read on!

The Role :

- Having found exceptional product/market fit with 10,000+ host companies worldwide, we're in the midst of transitioning from 'start-up' to 'scale-up' and looking for a community & content manager to develop our demand generation flywheel for host companies.

- You will work closely with the Head of Host Company Development & Placements and cross-functionally with our centralized Growth Marketing team and be at the center of content and engagement with host companies.

- From our stance on managing virtual interns, to organizing webinars, to case studies, to curating regular short-form and long-form content - your content should inspire millions of organizations around the globe to become a Virtual Internships Host Company.

- We don't pretend this will be easy - joining a company and embarking on the scale-up phase is an amazing challenge, pushing well beyond the boundaries of natural growth cycles. You'll move quicker than feels comfortable, and be brilliant at continually "figuring things out" so that the growth of our host company community increasingly comes from demand generation.

What you will do :

Working with a world-class globally distributed team, you will :

- Develop and launch content program that helps millions of organizations discover Virtual Internships and learn how to optimize for a remote workforce, including blog posts on best practices, case studies, in depth guides, infographics, and (potentially) podcast series

- Distribute this content to our host company community (via newsletters, social, and other channels)

- Launch and manage online events to our host company community, including panels and webinars

- Ensure content & branding are aligned with our centralized Growth Marketing's brand voice & content guidelines

- Create clear processes for all of our host community operations

Job requirements

- Fluency in English - (you don't need an IELTS, but if you did it would be 8.5+)

- 2+ years experience of building/managing community or content and looking to take what you've learned and develop an entirely new community/content role from scratch

- Someone who loves writing and is extremely good at editing and crafting stories

- A clear and concise writing style that is relevant to all readers regardless of location

- A creative thinker who is quick on their feet and can pull things together in a scrappy/resourceful way

- Someone who is energized by ambiguity and can create structure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- The desire and ability to experiment and innovate

- It's a bonus if you have experience building communities or user groups

- A genuine interest in remote work and career development of ambitious students/graduates

Consider this our wish-list. We know there will be great candidates that don't meet every one of these criteria-if you're passionate about the role and have early-stage start-up experience, we'd still love to hear from you.

What do we offer?

- Flexibility- flexible work schedule where you manage your own working hours

- Remote working - with a budget to support your productivity and your choice of where to work from
