VilCap Investments is a US-based $15M impact investment fund that provides early-stage capital to entrepreneurs. The fund has invested in 71 ventures to date with a focus on health, education, financial inclusion, energy, water, and sustainable agriculture. Recent investees include Simulanis, PayGo Energy, and ePesos.

VilCap Investments is seeking an Emerging Markets Investment Analyst to be based in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai (other locations possible, subject to discussion), reporting to VilCap Investments- Managing Director. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to focus on the investment activities and portfolio in India and Africa, with occasional responsibilities across the global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage all investment related activity

- Conduct financial due diligence on potential investees

- Prepare valuation models and negotiate term sheets

- Lead deal closing process with with entrepreneurs and other stakeholders, and ensure regulatory compliance to receive foreign investment

Investor Management

- Cultivate an enthusiastic network of co-investors locally to participate in early-stage investments

- Liaison with co-investors and guide them through the deal process

- Add Value to Entrepreneurs and Startups!

- Help support pipeline development, sourcing, and recruitment of companies into Village Capital programs

- Provide strategic advisory support to VilCap's portfolio companies

- Introduce entrepreneurs to mentors, investors, and potential partners

- Help companies raise subsequent rounds of funding or position themselves for an acquisition

Desired Candidate profile:

Required:

- Undergraduate degree in any field

- Investment experience and comfort with quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and valuation

- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

- Self starter with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured work environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Flexibility and willingness to travel both in India and internationally when required
