The Workout & Recovery Management (WRM) team manages distress names in workout for the Bank's corporate and investment banking portfolio. The APAC team manages the regional portfolio that covers NJA, Japan and Australia.
- The role faces the clients and external stakeholders and liaises with various internal stakeholders such as Workout Credit, CRM APAC, Business, Ops, Legal, Finance.
- The position is that of a senior member of the WRM team for the WRM APAC team.
Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage distress accounts in APAC in partnership with Business
- Monitor and analyse the Banks position in the distress assets and devise strategies to maximize recoveries and reduce credit losses
- Work with Workout Credit to manage workout names, assess Credit losses - LLPs, CVA and mark to marker positions.
- Managing and liaising with internal stakeholders on a regular/ daily basis (GTB, GCT, CPM, CPSG, STEF, Coverage, CRM, BRM, DB Legal, Finance, Loan Ops, Trade Ops, Group Tax, Compliance, WRM Credit International, AFC etc.) on a wide array of matters, predominantly on account strategy, proposing and driving recovery solutions.
- Liaising with external parties (borrowers, other creditors, law firms, restructuring advisory firms, liquidators) on workout cases
- Drive Restructuring negotiation, arranging/ attending creditors meetings/ calls, sourcing for distressed debt buyers, arranging beauty parades for selection of financial advisors, filing of legal claims, sourcing/ negotiating contracts /engaging consultants such as valuation firms and sector specialists etc. negotiating documentation
- Working together with Credit on Impairment/ provisioning assessments
- Quarterly Watchlist process: Prepare and update quarterly updates for Credit officers, Finalize RMA Transfer List, Preparation of one-pager for single name presentations.
- Handling queries from auditors (both internal and external).
- Monitoring/ solving data quality breaches, ETMM tickets.
