Vice President - Underwriting - Insurance

The Vice President, Underwriting is responsible for leading the Life Insurance underwriting operations. This person is responsible for leading a team of underwriters/leaders and working across multiple locations to deliver results

Key responsibilities include:

- Oversee large underwriting operation for Insurance with underwriters and leadership in multiple locations.

- Improve underwriting process, efficiencies and controls to ensure accurate, competitive and timely underwriting decisions

- Develop and execute business strategy that provides sustainable competitive advantage

- Mobilize the organization to achieve strong results

- Focus on talent to increase engagement & retention

- Manage problem resolution, high profile escalations, operational reports and metrics

Qualifications :

- Individual life insurance operations experience required (17+ years)

- Strong preference for life insurance Underwriting experience

- Bachelor's/Master's degree required

- Strong communication skills
