Vice President - Transformation - AML/KYC - Financial Services (10-20 yrs)

Overall purpose of role

- Support the Transformation Lead and engage with Wholesale Client Onboarding and Financial Crime Operations Transaction Cycle to improve effectiveness and achieve "best in class" performance

- Particular focus will be required to implement a range of automation (from robotics to artificial intelligence/machine learning), drive analytical work to reduce false positives, deliver on our location strategy and simplify processes through re-engineering

- Design target operating model (including but not limited to organizational design) to enable WCOB and GFCO to become true firm-wide utilities which mirror the client lifecycle and provide best in class customer service experience

Key Accountabilities :

Programme / Project Management

- The identification, design, planning and coordination of a set of projects or work streams within a programme of business change, to manage their interdependencies in support of specific business strategies.

Candidate must:

Design and drive the project plan; understand, challenge and proactively manage the cost position and act to mitigate potential cost or time delays - Shape, lead, direct and control the delivery of the project, including pragmatic application of programme management methodologies, use of a clearly defined delivery roadmap and robust financial and risk management

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

- The role holder will have strong people management and leadership abilities

- Experience of partnering closely with both operations and technology to identify and deliver operational savings. Process reengineering, data analytics, robotics and automation experience is a must

- Strong stakeholder management skills, for reporting and working with stakeholders to drive decisions.

- Strong analytical/problem solving mind set but with the ability and willingness to get into the details to find solutions

- Previous track record of transformation, including demonstrated ability to take cost out without putting function at risk from a regulatory and legal perspective

- Ability to build out a team and manage remotely due to global nature of role

- Proven track record of working in the Financial Services
