Who do we need?

We are looking for an Experienced Technology Leader to set up a state of the art supply chain tech system for a leading e commerce company. Someone who leads from the front and thrives in a challenging, high pressure, fast-paced working environment

What You'll Do?

- Design and build a new generation supply chain technology application from scratch and transition the business to the new system.

- Leadership - Lead and build talent to set up a world-class, development team for building the warehouse management system and all its sub parts.

- Leading, building and scaling operational processes of logistics and supply chain

- The single minded goal will be to allow the business to move to next day delivery defying all identified and unknown challenges.

- The high growth nature of the business demands that this be built in the shortest possible time, but ensuring quality, scability and reliability of the system.

- Partner with the product team to define and refine product requirements, Minimum Viable Products (MVP) and different stages of the SCM system.

- Leverage the latest technologies and trends, especially open source systems.

- Optimization - Alongside ensuring super high people productivity, optimize cloud infrastructure utilization and cost

What will you create?

- A full-fledged warehouse management system (WMS) - To cater to our manufacturing operations and interface with our partners and vendors. The WMS will be used for Indian as well as International market

- A full-fledged order management system (OMS) - a single source of truth for all orders that we receive

- An inventory management system (IMS) - a single source of truth of inventory of the product, Sub products and all ancillaries. It will be real-time, have analytics built on it for forecasting and connect with market places

- Optimized (and Continuously evolving) Put Away and Picking systems employing sophisticated algorithms and automation to make sure activities happen with minimum hassle

- The system will have all the components of a modern e-commerce platform - Springboot based applications, Kafka event-based queues that help isolate systems from each other, Docker/Kubernetes for auto-scaling, fully automated deployments, an ELK stack for continuous log processing and real-time monitoring/debugging, etc. The system will be built with the fundamental idea of a single source of truth - a single source for order status, a single source for inventory, and a single source for products.

Eligibility Criterion

- 10+ years of technology experience, of 4 years in a high growth fast paced company, driving core company projects on an end to end basis.

- Prior experience with eCommerce firms or similar under Supply Chain and Logistics will be extremely valuable

- Engineer/Post-graduate in any field - Supply Chain and Logistics will be a plus

- Proficient in standard logistics software

- Well versed with experience of SOA/Microservices/Restful services and development of N-tier J2EE / Java Springboot applications (API- s).

- Strong understanding of database design and good experience in writing optimized SQL queries

- Good exposure on NoSql databases

- Should have experience in Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other Queueing systems.
