The opportunity :

The company, with a consciously concise, yet high-performing engineering team and some stellar product management professionals on board, has thus far been able to build a fairly decent product that faces the end-users (consumers) as well as its channel partners across India.

From discovering users and channel partners to on-boarding them for further engagement through to the delivery phase, the tech product is at the core of enabling & orchestrating the entire lifecycle of customer engagement in a seamless, highly engaged manner.

Ideal candidate profile :

A worthy candidate with about 6 - 12 years of minimum experience in architecting & developing distributed, agile, scalable, secure and highly available technology products, with the recent exposure being as a manager/senior manager/leader of such work and in cloud native applications, would be preferred for this position.

Majorly, the incoming candidate shall :

- Partner with the founders on devising the long-term strategy for the product, and in-turn on the product evolution roadmap from the perspective of building a future-ready product

- Lead design and architecture to ensure the product that has been conceptualized is built just like that, and in close proximity with the customer's expectations

- Guide the team through the development of the underlying applications, including frequently leading by example by putting individual efforts in the development process and ground-level involvement with the team on a constant basis

- Introduce and institutionalize, best practices at development as well as design level

- Collaborate appropriately with product management and ensure that the product being built completely aligns with market realities

- Advocate & propose, use of cutting-edge/latest technologies and frameworks/approaches trending in the global developer community, to the team members, aimed at a better/more agile product as well as continued learning opportunities for self and the team

- This is a first-time hiring for this position at the co., and the underlying thought on the founders' minds is to have someone as a virtual co-founder on board, who can believe in the idea and build towards it with passion and curiosity. As such, the founders are convinced that the CTO's role should be the growth path for this position.

- The incoming candidate will be motivated to chart the evolution/growth trajectory for the team for the quarters to follow, and hire accordingly to increase the current team size to many times over through a period of 1 - 2 years.

Important :

Please note that although the job could commence and continue for some time in remote working mode, the company has a clear expectation of having the incumbent operate out of their office in Gurugram, once the conditions to be able to do so are adequately conducive. Hence, relocation to Gurugram/Delhi-NCR will be a must.
