Vice President - Technical Project Head - Ports/Marine

Overall Purpose Of the job:

- Overall responsibility of the assigned projects from development, planning to execution. Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and budgets with desired quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reviews project plan to determine time frame, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project

- Provide technical expertise in project design and development phase and establish clear milestones

- Identifies critical activities, skills required and allocates resources accordingly

- Plays a critical role in the process of appointment of consultants/contractors

- Develop robust processes and tools to monitor work progress, cost and quality through project lifecycle. Modify project plans if required to adhere to project timelines

- Identifies project risks and develops mitigation plans accordingly

- Implementation and monitoring of Inventory planning, monitoring and control systems

- Prepares and share periodic reports/ MIS/progress reports with management

- Oversee the contractual terms and conditions to avoid penalties or any business loss

- Liaise with government authorities to obtain necessary clearances

Minimum Qualification:

- Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering

- PG in Project Mgmt. - preferred

Minimum Experience:

15 + yrs. (atleast 7-9 yrs. of experience in Marine/Ports construction).
