Vice President - Technical Architect - BFS

Technical Architect- 12-15 years of experience. BE/B.TECH full time. Must have developed Trading platform with any of the past employers and experience in.net, c#, WCF, and MVC technologies.

It isn't a match. The candidate has not worked on a trading platform/order management system. and no exposure to .net, c#, MVC, WCF technologies.

Provide Application Development capabilities to technology enhancement activities that are deemed important to the success of achieving their business goals. Position faces both internal business clients and technology professionals assisting with both defining and implementing tools and processes to achieve viable, appropriate and sometimes market leading solutions to business problems.

The role of the Technical Architect is to ensure the consistent and successful delivery of software product that meets functional and technical quality objectives. The Architect accomplishes this by employing their project management skills, understanding of technology and software engineering, and people leadership.

- Heading the development and deployment to mission critical Trading applications

- Gather Business Requirements for Enhancements

- Develop release scripts for code promotion to production environments

- Assist with developing improvements to team processes and procedures

- Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle

- Analyze requirements, design, build and test system components or amendments

- Always conform to documentation, coding and quality standards as defined

- Understand client business and make recommendations and technology suggestions to solve problems and improve efficiency

- Understand architecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and develop more efficient production processes

- Be prepared to carry out business analysis tasks to ensure that the development/change meets user requirements and expectations

- Assist project and line managers in producing estimates for the development phase of projects and enhancements

- Handle general updates and configuration changes/requests

- Develop innovative technical solutions and set product direction to address industry business problems

- Drive recommendations for technology adoption from a total-enterprise perspective. Consider all benefits, integrations, and costs

- Direct and participate in research and prototype development to validate solutions and new technologies.

- Contribute across the entire development cycle (presales, requirements gathering, analysis, design, code, test, initial pilot/production launch, and production support) with the primary focus on analysis, solution design and mentoring development staff

- Perform complex product design activities which may require extensive research and analysis.

- Lead or participate substantively in non-project based activities which strengthen the organization (e.g. training, development of coding standards, pioneering of new technologies and capabilities)

- Develop and maintain working relationships with other departments which are key to the success of the organization (e.g., Product Management, Business Development, Professional Services, Engineering, Customer Support, etc.)

- Lead the Architect team of Solutions Architects

- Mentor product architects and implement a decision making and architecture governance process

- Prepares departmental goals and evaluates performance based on these goals

- Responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, performance appraisal, development, salary review and performance management of departmental staff

Skills and Qualification required:

- 10+ years of experience as a Developer with 5+ years as a Lead Architect

- 3+ years leading a high performing team in an agile based software product development environment

- Experience of developing Cloud based software products that can perform, scale, and integrates into a broad Cloud ecosystem.

- Experience in high performance, highly available and scalable system

- Experience developing and supporting hosted and/or multi-tenant software delivered as-a-Service (SaaS).

- Deep Knowledge and experience with software design patterns and how they can be incorporated into software design.

- Experience of mainstream programming language such Java and Python

- Experience in database development with SQL and NoSQL databases

- Experience with total quality management techniques and methodologies for software engineering.

- Experience with iterative or java methodologies, techniques and Scrum

- Development experience with big data lakes

- Familiarity with TimeSeries databases and Graph databases
