We have the following role with our client in Bangalore

As a Vice President of Acquisitions Risk you will be responsible for assessing and recommending changes to Credit line assignment strategies, policies and controls. The VP will ensure that the strategies drive strong financial performance, while maintaining strong risk controls. The VP will regularly meet with leaders and team members in Risk Management, Finance and Lending to drive business forward. The VP will be leading a team of highly motivated junior and senior analysts and provide both leadership and analytical support.

Specifically, the VP will

- Develop and maintain key Acquisition Risk Line Assignment Strategies by conducting complex analysis to segment data and isolate risk using analytical techniques such as clustering and decision trees, and leveraging both internal and external credit data

- Challenge and guide other Associates and Sr. Analysts on the team with their projects, assuring a strong culture, and encouraging continuous professional development

- Partner with Stateside teams on a daily basis within Acquisitions Risk, Finance, IT, Lending and other risk functions to ensure successful implementation of new strategies

- Monitor the performance of existing strategies leveraging internal MIS reports, external macro-economic trends and industry benchmarks

- Demonstrate strong strategic thinking, operational excellence leadership and control oriented mentality

- Bachelors or MS degree(preferred) in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Finance or equivalent quantitative field is required

- A minimum of 8 years of relevant analytics/modeling experience. Previous experience in credit card risk is strongly preferred

- Strong P&L knowledge and understanding of drivers of profitability

- Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, building and presenting strategies, data mining and presentation of findings is a must

- Experienced programming knowledge in both SAS and SQL, Operating systems experience with UNIX and relational database knowledge such as ORACLE/TERADATA

- Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and its impact in both operational and financial areas to develop common sense solutions to complex business challenges

- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present analytical findings and make business recommendations via the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Strong project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach. Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects across cross-functional groups

- Proven ability to influence and drive results thorough strong leadership, innovation, productivity and teamwork
