Vice President - Strategic Alliances - Digital Newsstand (12-16 yrs)

My client is a top player in the tablet and mobile magazine publishing industry and have more than 10,000 digital magazines on their App and website and have more than 37 million users globally. They are currently focused on leveraging the power of their content and user base to create Strategic Alliances with top partners in India. They look to work with the largest brands and reach consumers in new and exciting ways.

They are seeking a superstar, entrepreneurial VICE PRESIDENT FOR STRATEGIC ALLIANCES to be based in Delhi(NCR), India, and responsible for maximizing revenue generation and user traction using partnerships and alliances.

Who are we looking for?

- The ideal candidates must be wired in the publishing, digital and mobile space and have a demonstrable record with Strategic Alliances with top brands and companies, be aggressive, drive partnerships and possess the desire to set up, create and manage a winning sales organization from the ground up, including rolling up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to make the team successful. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of partner relations from the recruitment of new partners to the establishment of partner programs and maintenance of ongoing coalitions to increase revenue.

- S/he's a sales pro, with an exceptional track record. A great Rolodex of clients and partners is a must, but beyond that s/he must understand how to think critically, problem-solve on the fly, and take a consultative approach to winning deals.

- Of utmost importance is a dynamic communicator with outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, combined with the analytical powers of a spreadsheet jockey.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Source, connect and convince partners to work on Strategic Partnerships, alliances and tie-ups.

- Bring new content to the platform - Magazines, Books and News sources.

- Create persuasive presentations using case studies to close partnership deals.

- Support the sales cycle by effectively communicating the benefits of our value proposition.

- Engage and strategize with agencies and clients to determine their business needs and formulate partnerships.

- Establish and cultivate strong relationships by conducting face to face sales calls and client entertainment.

- Effectively report on account development and progress via CRM.

- Manage partner relationships to meet quarterly revenue and monetization targets.

- Work effectively with a variety of internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS :

- You have 12 or more years of experience in sales and strategic alliances

- You are a SUPERSTAR, ACCOUNTABLE and RESULTS DRIVEN!

- You can point to a rich history of meeting and exceeding sales goals.

- You have an excellent track record in developing relationships with national brands and partners.

- Existing, current relationships with decision makers a must.

- You understand how to create strategic and highly consultative proposals customized to the specific needs of the partner. You present like a champ. You close like nobody's business.

- You know how to negotiate a deal so that everyone feels like a winner.

- You have outstanding people skills. You're organized. You're analytical.

- You are self-motivated and can hit the ground running to close deals quickly.

- You can juggle many balls at once without dropping one, and you have a strong customer service orientation.

- Must be comfortable calling on all levels of an organization.

- Ability to source leads and take them all the way to closure is critical.

- Organized and detail oriented with exceptional communication skills.

- Goal oriented personality, committed to success, with a strong work ethic.

- Current rolodex/relationships with top brands and partners; strong client contacts (contacts at top retailers, retail brands, airlines, etc. needed).

- Strong account optimization skills (analytical) and attention to details.

- Ability to work in a start-up environment.

- Ability to deliver results under pressure and adapt to changing business requirements; to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities.

- Demonstrated ability to create and execute on a long-term sales strategy.

- Identify, create and manage business relationships with select partners to develop joint sales opportunities and define programs to increase revenue.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelor's Degree and MBA

- Strategic thinker, proven track record of driving significant revenue results in rapidly growing strategic alliance and channel partner environment

- Senior-Level Sales Management experience, leading large high-performing sales organizations specifically within the strategic alliances and channel partners aspect of the sales function

- Deep cross-functional knowledge and experience with all operations within sales
