JOB TITLE: Senior Vice-President of Product/CPO

EMPLOYER: US based 15+yrs Tech/IT organisation

DEPARTMENT: Product Division

REPORTS TO: CEO and the Executive Team

SUMMARY: Senior Vice-President of Product/CPO develops and oversees implementation and achievement of Product division's goals. Provides strategic product direction, including product vision, product innovation, product design, product development, project management, and product marketing. Directs highly talented and diverse team of direct reports from product management, technical product, artificial intelligence, user experience design, and technical writing teams. Works collaboratively with all levels of management and staff to align with the organizational goals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Establish a long-term product vision, strategy and roadmap that will directly grow revenue, differentiate against the market, drive customer satisfaction, and ensure alignment with overall company business goals.

- End to end responsibility for the product portfolio as well as overall P&L ownership, with the assistance of Finance, for product investment, including resource allocation opportunities that support short- and long-term value creation.

- Defines and builds successful management infrastructure and team committed to the Product division's business objectives; instills excitement, mission, and motivation in product management team.

- Builds creative and effective sales, marketing, and public relations programs for products to create and deliver strategic value propositions.

- Deeply engage with customers to understand their barriers and use this knowledge to develop a customer centric roadmap and create excitement as an evangelist for the product.

- Guide, coach and inspire a diverse team of both leaders and individual contributors to create a high-performing culture where team members can grow their careers as well as contribute to the company's success.

- Use your knowledge of Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to build use cases that are broadly adopted by our customers today.

- Work closely with senior team members across Engineering, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success to ensure that we build high quality product that adds value to our customers.

- Partner with the Product Marketing and Customer Success teams to launch new products and capabilities into the market.

- Establish a process across the organization to ensure effective communication of the product priorities and execution. Manage to an overall product dashboard and build action plans to make progress against priority success metrics.

- Seeks feedback from Executive Management Team to analyze internal workflows and department development and continually develop improvements; ensures communication and information flow throughout the Product unit is efficiently managed to provide all employees and managers with current, pertinent, jobrelated information.

- Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops managers; oversees establishment of effective schedules and workflow.

- Assigns objectives and monitors quality of work; assures Product unit's management conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.

- Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of product unit management; actively works to promote and recognize performance.

- Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.

- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Directly supervises employees within the department(s).

- Indirectly supervises employees within the department(s).

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree computer science or related field or equivalent; MBA and/or technical master's degree preferred

- 12+ years of demonstrated accountability over B2B SaaS product management and design teams

- 8+ years of experience working with and/or explicitly being part of people management track; record of guiding, developing, and scaling teams of product managers and designers

- Previous responsibility for P&L and business KPI's for product portfolios

- Experience creating winning Cloud SAAS applications targeted at enterprise users; but with consumer-services-like interfaces

- Ability to coach teams overseeing the strategic product planning and roadmap creation process

- Experience in delivering Applied AI or Machine Learning use cases to customers

- Experience participating in an agile development and rapid prototyping process

- Creative problem solver who inspires innovation across the entire team

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and analytical skills
