Vice President/Senior Vice President - Investment Banking - Execution

Designation : Vice President (VP) / Senior Vice President (SVP)

Responsibilities :

- Deal making : VC/ PE fund raising and M&A for Start-ups in the digital/technology driven businesses

- Assist coverage team in mandate origination & active engagement with potential clients

- Work on pitch books, background research on specific targets / sectors

- Establishing strong relationships with investors; specific focus on venture capitalists and technology focused investment firms

- Engagement with key decision makers/partners in the funds in order to develop insights on investor preferences & ability to influence key decision makers

- End to end transaction execution including

- Preparing marketing material/IMs and detailed financial models - work closely with and guide the junior team members to deliver required collaterals

- Marketing the transaction to investors and handholding the deal negotiation process to ensure successful closure

- Building a strong knowledge base on the sector(s) - Industry views, comparative deal analysis, valuation insights

Candidate Profile :

- Sound understanding of the startups & digital technology companies /sector

- Expert knowledge on financial modeling and valuation principles for start-ups.

- Experience of successful deal closures (VC/PE) in the last 2 years

- Relationships with key investors in the Start- up ecosystem

- Resourceful in terms of network of friends, professional connects in the industry to source market intelligence

- Ability to spot emerging trends and accordingly work with coverage teams

- Eye for detail with ability to simultaneously manage transactions across different sub - sectors (Fintech, SAAS, E-Com, etc) in the digital space

- Ability to work independently, should be self-driven and highly motivated
