Role Overview - VP & Head of Sales
Role Objective: To lead a team in growing business for the firm through Sale of its products across geos. To direct, manage, mentor and develop a sales team. The Head of Sales would be responsible for a sales growth of 15-20% per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new Sales Strategy, Annual Sales & Marketing plan
- Ensure implementation of new and existing S&M plans for product lines
- Groom, develop, and coach a professional sales team to meet or exceed goals for profitable revenue growth
- Increase in customer base and increase customer retention
- Identify newer markets to tap (local & international)
- Deep mining for existing markets
- Represent Company in Trade Fairs & Increase the brand visibility during trade shows
- Make On site and Off site visit to clients
- Interaction with existing Clientele on a regular basis
- Identify, network and build existing and new business relationships
- Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotes, and plans to determine effectiveness
Desired Profile
- Grad with a MBA preferred
- 10 - 15 years of core sales experience in any growing B2B/B2C business with last few years in jewelry - manufacturing or diamonds sales.
- Should have proven sales track record.
- An effective communicator; Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Team Management skills. Should have managed a team of atleast 10.
- Networking/Relationship building skills
- Ability to understand and apply market intelligence to sales strategy
- Analytical ability and Negotiation skills
- Strategic Thinking. Ability to increase sales channels
- Self-starter, result oriented, go getter with an ability to work under pressure
- Executive presence to influence senior decision-makers
- Open towards traveling extensively
- Fast track and stable career growth
