Vice President - Sales & Commercial Operations - FMCG (15-20 yrs)

We have been mandated by a renowned client of us who has Pan India presence in FMCG - Food industry to identify and place a highly professional talent for their new venture coming up in Tamilnadu to oversee both Sales & Commercial activities including Operations with a P & L responsibility.

Scope & responsibilities of the Job :

- To Plan and Drive Sales thru various channels across South India clearly maintaining the flow of both Primary and Secondary targets with equal distribution of Top Line and Bottom line growths.

- Ensure the manufacturing plant being set up to receive and hold proper inventory of raw materials thru prudent purchase mechanism with JIT process for cost optimization.

- Plan and implement effective SCM process and activities to ensure the desired products are dispatched to various channels within short gestation period with minimal logistics cost. This includes products being manufactured from the base location and also procured from other places under same brand identity.

- Effectively work out the budget projections and ensure availability of funds from the Corporate and prudently spend for various heads of expenses. Guide the Finance & accounting team for proper maintenance of cost centers.

- Involve in effective Brand exercise especially in BTL activities to penetrate semi urban and rural areas for higher volume growth thru distribution.

- Monitor the Sales hierarchy with respective State Heads reporting to this role and have clear target achievements down the line.

- To head the overall role of Sales, Commercial, SCM and Finance with usual HR and dynamically evolve to be a Profit Center Head reporting to the Board of Directors.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- A Seasoned FMCG Sales professional having hands on experience in Channel sales having controlled a large sales personnel with excellent market knowledge of South India.

- Those having exposure to Commercial activities and a fair knowledge of manufacturing coordination would be a right fit to this role.

- Preference for professionals from Food Processing Industry / Food products like - Biscuits, Confectionery, RTE, RTC would be preferable.

- An MBA with age not exceeding 45 years and having proven experience in the FMCG industry who is desirous of taking a challenging role as a Profit Center Head is desired.
