Vice President - Retail Credit Risk - Banking (13-20 yrs)

- This role reports into Regional Credit Officer (RCO) Retail Risk. The role holder will support the Regional Credit Officer in providing credit risk oversight and execution support to designated countries in ASP for all WPB and RBB lending products to achieve sustainable growth and profitability.

- Perform Risk activities to ensure countries in the region are aligned to Group requirements and standards, Regional Guidelines, Group Strategy, WPB Risk Appetite and agreed Regional and Country portfolio exposures.

- Ongoing monitoring of credit performance trends and identify risks and opportunities.

- Proactive identification of risks and provide mitigating solutions in line with the overall business strategies, risk appetite and in line with the return benchmarks.

- Provide execution support to Regional Credit Officer in managing credit risks for existing and new customers across the full credit life cycle.

- Be the change agent for adopting latest risk tools and data (including digital and alternate data) reflecting the changing business and consumer behaviour.

What you'll do: (List out Key Responsibilities):

- Support RCO to manage credit risk for Credit Cards and unsecured lending across the acquisition strategy, portfolio management and collection strategy cycles.

- Support RCO to manage Secured lending based on demonstrated credit risks and underlying inherent risk yet to reflect in the foreclosure / delinquencies.

- Develop and monitor the risk tools (scorecards, segmentations, etc) and set risk strategies and cut-offs with support of the Risk analaytics.

- Identify early warning signals and risks/opportunities in the portfolio, implementing policy/ process changes and effectively controlling risks.

What you will need to succeed in the role: (Minimum Qualification and Skills Required)

- Success in this role will require the person to be able to combine sound business acumen, a good understanding of portfolio management / systems and advanced analytics to optimize portfolio performance/ decisions under a constantly changing environment.

- Building and maintaining a constructive relationship with many different stakeholders. Effective interpersonal skills required to coordinate with a large number of stakeholders in the day-to-day work of the job. Be able interacting with managers much senior than the jobholder.

- Credit knowledge and experience required to manage the portfolios across ASP sites effectively

- Knowledge or aptitude to learn the fundamentals of small business lending and the required risk management for such quasi-commercial lending products

- Knowledge on regulatory requirements is essential to ensure the bank's reputational risks are protectedTimely and efficient delivery of strategy development projects according to agreed plan

What additional skills will be good to have? (List out good to have skills and certifications)

- Experience in retail credit risk management and fundamental knowledge of SME lending

- Senior country risk managenent experience - in policy, strategy, analytics

- Strong analytical skills

- Broad knowledge the regulatory environment

- Understanding of risk/return dynamics, capital management and provisioning

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Capability to coordinate and manage stakeholders at all levels

- Understanding Risk and making decisions in highly complex situations where there are potentially major consequences for the business.

- Understanding the nature and dynamics of Risk and financial markets where the market context is highly complex, rapidly changing or is unprecedented
