Vice President - Product Control

- This is a Pune based VP role in the Business Control team within the Product Control department. The team supports various IB businesses (initially FID and Equity). In the CoE BC is working as a team extension of the onshore BC presence in various locations and with various functional managers. The successful candidate will be locally responsible for BC in the COE and ensure performance at the highest standards of quality, keeping motivation levels high, create a team unity/culture and maintain a good relationship with the onshore stakeholders.

- Product Control's primary responsibility is to validate and substantiate the principal risk taking assets and liabilities of the firm and their associated revenues in compliance with Client's primary GAAP and other specific requirements as agreed with Financial Control.

- Within Product control, Business Control is responsible to preserve the integrity of the Firm's financials by managing front to back relationship, performing analytical review of the Trading pnl and Balance Sheet, providing Valuation and Accounting consultation and reviewing new Business.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks :

- Act as a coach for the L1 managers and extended team

- Monitoring local Centre of Excellence requirements such as mandatory training

- Coordinating soft-skill training

- Independent review of process notes to ensure they are fit for purpose and up to date

- Jointly with CBD managers write and discuss the performance of individual in the CEO team

- Monitory team capacity

- Monitor engagement/motivation of the team

- Keep track of absences and manages leave jointly with CBD management

- Site Delegate & update Site Head

- Enforces the PC strategy model

- Attends the deployment governance meeting

- Co-ordinate logistics during the deployment implementation

- Ensures there is strong relationship between COE and CBD

- Attends team meetings chaired by the CBD

- Ensures the team attends all required meetings

- Cascades COE site related news

- Limited functional responsibilities; assistance with first level problem solving in processes prior to escalate to CBD

- Frequent meetings with the L2/L3 in CBD

- Responsible for hiring and career development

- Responsible for adherence to local laws

- Ensure the team are escalating problems in the most appropriate way

- Change and improve processes where needed

- Involvement in project and testing

- Various involvement with strategic and continuous improvement projects as well as operational excellence initiatives to continuously improve daily functions and systems/ applications
