Vice President Platform Engineering
As a Platform Engineering Head for Network Orchestration and Automation, you would be responsible for:
- Set the vision, delivery standards, tooling and approach for all software development practices
- Build and retain a high performing team of core competence that will drive the successful delivery of projects with partner development organizations
- Establish relationships with key development partners, establish performance metrics and manage them to quality and performance targets
- Work with product management to establish a product development roadmap that addresses both the commercial aspirations of the business and the needs for technical maintenance and enhancements.
- Build strong cross team relationships architecture, standards, automation and support teams so that the core customer outcomes are achieved.
- Build a customer outcome focused culture across the engineering disciplines.
- Work with business automation, customer enablement and support teams to establish best process optimization and support practices with engineering as a key contributor/resolver partner.
- Support Presales & Solutioning
Qualifications:
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
- Strong competency in software development methodologies, particularly Agile, and extensive experience in software development of high performing, mission critical applications with a mid-size to large organization.
- Experience in product engineering, solution engineering in the areas of Telco Network Orchestration, Automation and Operations Support Systems (OSS)
- Well versed in implementing agile practices, tooling on a medium to large scale.
- Superior interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively with people individually and within groups.
- Outstanding leadership and managerial skills including talent development, coaching, mentoring, objective setting and team motivation.
- Excellent verbal and written communications, including the ability to explain technical concepts and practices to non-specialist audiences.
- Strong aptitude for documentation, scheduling, developing tasks, and managing budgets and resources to achieve target dates.
- Demonstrated background in project governance and risk management.
- Experience of B2B SaaS products and services.
- Financially and commercially astute.
