We have an urgent opportunity for Platform Engineering - Vice president with a Fortune 500 global leader in financial services organization) for their Pune/Chennai location

Below are the Job Details

Experience: 12 to 20 years

Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech or MBA ( From Tier 1 Institutes only)

Reporting to : VP, Platform Engineering, Global Services will report to the SVP, FTS, Global Services. The role will also have a dotted line to the SVP, Platform Engineering globally

Role Location : The role will be based out of India - preferably Pune or Chennai.

Job Purpose :

- As Vice President, Platform Engineering, Global Services the individual will lead the Platform Engineering practice for FTS in India and driving synergies with the global FTS.

- VP, Platform Engineering will be responsible for towork collaboratively across the enterprise to provide significant technology solutions across the organization. S/he will front end the Platform Engineering team for FTS in India but also lead its agenda for global teams. S/he would partner closely with the SVP, FTS in India and Globally in playing a key role in building a sustainable organization from a people, process and cultural perspective.

Key Accountabilities:

- Develop the strategic vision and transformation roadmap for Platform Engineering to develop and maintain end to end technical solutions while fostering innovation, leveraging new technologies, and showcasing strong client excellence mindset.

- Have a global mindset that drives priorities through cross-functional partnerships and build a strong voice on platform engineering-related decision making.

- Provide strong technical expertise to the team including architecture, design, and code reviews.

- Define success metrics and SLAs, as well as tracking them toward agreed targets.

- Develop roadmaps and execution plans to meet business objectives with existing or emerging technologies by partnering with stakeholders internationally and leveraging fungible skills.

- Provide resource plans, budget tracking and forecasting. Manage the team (internal or vendor) to achieve target scope, schedule and cost objectives.

- Instil best practices for software development, service execution and operational excellence.

- Drive for engineering excellence including automation, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

- Manage multiple spokes of change including but not limited to migration, location rationalization, in-sourcing and process changes while ensuring consistent business delivery.

- Foster innovation and leverage new technologies. Keep track of the industry development in big data and high-performance distributed data systems. Evaluate new opportunities to improve and expand the way we do business.

- Apply creative thinking/approach to determine technical solutions that further business goals and align with corporate technology strategies, keeping in mind security, performance, reliability, scalability, usability, flexibility, and cost.

Experience:

- S/he will be a hands-on, business-oriented leader who has a proved track record of successfully leading the platform engineering teams and is also capable of leading and building a global organization and trusted valued relationships. S/he should truly possess the capabilities, character and intellect that exemplify great leadership.

- The ideal candidate will be a senior leader with prior experience in driving synergies with external and internal clients, leading platform engineering practice and partnering with global development centers. It is critical that the individual has experience of working in technology leadership roles encompassing product development, engineering, systems architecture, and technical operations. S/he will have experience of operating in a high paced, regulated environment and the ability to effectively lead in a highly matrixed organization. The ideal candidate will be effective at influencing global leaders to achieve results and highly outcome-driven. S/he should be comfortable in setting aggressive targets, making difficult decisions, and holding individuals accountable for set goals.

Must have :

- Exposure to the banking and financial services domain

- Experience of working in a globally distributed workforce environment

- Business strategy formulation and execution

- Ability to lead and influence in a highly matrix environment

- Technological expertise with proven track record in being of being a Subject Matter Expert

- Experience of Internal/ Client management role

- Experience of leading teams/partnering with clients across multiple geographies
