Vice President - Operations - BFS

Functional Reporting and Entity) Role functionally reports to the Global Head of Derivative Settlement based in KL - The Entity reporting will be to the Global Head of Derivative Confirmations based in Bangalore.

Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role) :

- Reporting to the Global Head of Derivative Settlements this is a role responsible for the teams working in the supporting OTC

- Derivatives and will also be the Bangalore Site lead for the Settlement function in India-accountable for providing oversight of the teams in the

- Both Settlement and Confirmation function - The role will support a follow the sun settlement and post settlement model for US Hours. 

The individual will need to work very closely with Setts and Post Setts functional leads and peers as well as Confirmation leads and peers in ensuring all BAU parameters are met and team morale and leadership is provided including managing senior stakeholder relationships

- Products in scope are FX options, Equity derivatives and Rates and CREDIT as well Emerging Market Derivatives.

The role will require :

- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent client service skills

- In depth knowledge of OTC derivative products, lifecycle, valuations, regulations and market construct

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate and work effectively with senior business and stakeholders across business

- Leadership, development and motivation of the team

- Over 8 years of experience with a track record of experience in global Capital Markets businesses.

- Knowledge of Clearing House systems (LCH, ICE & CME) and market infrastructure - Traded Product knowledge would be an added advantage.

- Well versed in the functions supporting the Markets business front to back

- Proven ability to lead a similar function and/or line team, within a Markets or Securities Service context, to deliver strong, effective governance and day-to-day controls, clear planning, communication, reporting and MI, risk and issue management

Role Context :

- This role will work very closely with the Global Head of Derivative Settlements and Confirmations and may be required to represent the function in various forums and Steering Committees from time-to-time.

- This a regional leadership role in the function that will require the ability to prioritize, negotiate and execute activities, responsibilities and leadership independently taking regular but high level direction from the functional Heads

- The role should be able to work effectively in partnership with peers
