Vice President - Operational Risk - Investment Bank

We are hiring a Vice President for our Investment Banking client in Bangalore/Mumbai.

This position is responsible for the India control environment, including issue identification, escalation, remediation and validation; reporting, metrics and root cause analysis; and partnering with Operational Risk, Compliance and Audit.

Control Management focuses on four areas:

- Control Design and expertise

- Risk and Controls Identification and Assessment

- Identification of Controls breaks and resolution Reporting

Role and Responsibilities:

- In partnership with stakeholders, evaluate and perform an end-to-end analysis of the business' risk and control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control breaks

- Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols

- Provide leadership support for the end-to-end execution of the Controls Management Program including identification and remediation of control breaks and resolutions, to reduce financial loss, regulatory exposure, and reputational risk

- Engage with Risk and Control/Quality Assurance colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions.

- Develop and nurture subject matter expertise on various control programs like CORE, MRI, Models, and Issue Management etc.

You Offer

- Master's degree or equivalent experience required. Preferred experience with Accounts Payable, Procurement and Third Party Management

- 12+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance preferred

- Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
