Vice President - Marketing/Strategy - Solar Energy Business - South (5-15 yrs)

1. JOB PURPOSE

- To oversee the marketing strategy of the company, and ensure that all activities fall in line with the segmentation and messaging that is agreed with the CEO

- To particularly focus on segmenting, and sub-segmenting the marketing to find the most attractive target customers and to work closely with sales teams in the field to ensure they are reached

- To be the owner and guardian of the brand, and to develop it into a strong and well-known brand associated with solar in India

- To particularly drive the digital brand awareness of the brand and look for opportunities to enhance our presence on the web, and create leads for sales teams through social media / digital advertising

- To work with our IT team to develop customer facing IT solutions such as remote monitoring that are pleasing to the customer and consistent with company branding

- To develop the website, advertising platforms, promotional materials, sales tools, etc. that will assist in increasing sales leads and profit for the company

DIMENSIONS

- Annual budget in FY 21

- 1% of revenue budget

- 2 staff available in-house to support on design

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- To segment the market, and ensure that sales teams are targeting the best possible segments / sub-segments of the market, and set up a mechanism for reporting and tracking to the CEO

- To identify the right messaging, channel partners, financial products, etc., for the various sub-segments

- To particularly concentrate on the the company's channel partner network and set up system for selection, training, marketing support, annual events, etc.

- To undertake surveys and visits to understand customers tastes and demand by segment

- To be the owner of all web content, and to regularly update the web-site with new information, products, schemes, etc as required

- To own the customer app and all social media, and ensure regularly updated

- To be the owner of the - brand guideline- and ensure that all promotional or other related material that is produced is in line with the agreed guidelines

- To ensure that all promotional material is attuned to customer tastes / requirements, and to continually tailor and refine promotional material in line with feedback

- To work closely with the company sales teams and regularly review, recommend, and implement new sales schemes as well as review the functional aspects of products to ensure that suited to customer requirements at lowest cost

- To spend considerable time in the field, with staff / channel partners to help to develop new / better approaches to the market, and to make recommendations for improvements

- To manage any and all interface with PR agencies / press where required by senior management

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- 5-10 years of experience in marketing, particularly strategic marketing

- Experience in digital marketing is positive, not essential

- Demonstrated ability to maintain a superior website

- Can work effectively with sales teams and be responsive to their needs

- Strong thinker, with very good analytical capacity

- Excellent English writing skills
