- This role provides critical support to the India Centre to ensure adherence with the local laws and regulations.
- The position requires the individual to help the firm comply with relevant regulations, issue identification, assessing the impact of regulatory changes and working with Corporate Function teams, Compliance, Legal, HRSD, Finance and LOBs to build and establish controls to maintain compliance with laws and regulations and to protect the reputation of the India Centre.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Establish and maintain day to day operational relationship with key regulators
- Ensuring Compliance with local laws and regulations including Software Technology of Parks India Regulations, Department of Telecommunications- Regulations, Labor/Employment Law Regulations
- Applying for STPI licenses and renewals including but not limited to LOP (Letter of Permission), Green Card
- Renewal of certificates under the IT policy viz. IT Certificate, Electricity Duty exemption Certificate, Octroi Duty exemption Certificate
- Registration of new sites under Department of Telecommunications
- Applying for CLRA licenses and adherence to Labor Laws
- Conducting a monthly internal exam in partnership with Compliance and Legal to ensure the preparedness of the Corporate Functions for any regulatory exam regarding Vendor Labor Law Compliance.
Essential Skills/Experience :
- Minimum 7-8 years regulatory or risk management experience gained within a financial institution or regulator
- Experience in laws/issues facing the offshoring/outsourcing industry including Labor Laws, Software Technology of Parks Regulations and the Department of Telecommunications Regulations.
Education/professional qualifications :
- Graduate/Post Graduate
- Law degree or other closely related professional qualification will be beneficial
