Senior Group Manager - Legal (VP level) Role specs : Credit Team Legal - Provide legal support to the various business verticals of the Bank on vetting, drafting and negotiating credit facility, security and ancillary documents to safeguard the interest of the Bank and to ensure legally secure documentation for the credit transactions of the Bank; - Provide legal support to International Banking Unit (IFSC) Gift City & International Banking in connection with (a) Regulatory requirements and compliances across multiple jurisdictions; (b) Product Development & Standardization of internal documents; (c) Lending and Security documentation across multiple jurisdiction; and (d) Enforcement proceedings across multiple jurisdiction - To provide guidance support required in various legal issues relating to the credit function of the Bank - Liaisoning with external legal counsels /empaneled advocates for specific issues /contracts/documentation/legal advisory services as may be required and review the work done by them - Provide assistance/contribution for completion of the projects that may be initiated by the legal department; - Formulating strategy along with Business Verticals for timely measures to contain NPAs, adopting early resolution and monitoring measures - Guidance on negotiations with counsel/external attorneys for better fee structures and ensuring that the external attorneys effectively and efficiently deliver for the organisation; - Depending upon the proposal, providing guidance to the Business Verticals on advising/ devising legally effective/ cost efficient structures/ documents including advising Business Verticals on proposals at the initial stages prior to formulating the term sheet. - Leading and guiding Team Members on the aforesaid matters. Candidate specs : - LLB / LLM in a senior role working with leading private sector bank and/or financial institution. - Strong analytical, interpersonal, leadership and legal skills
