Job Description :


- Functional accountability of Wholesale Onboarding and Client Management Services teams for APAC region that includes Client Onboarding, E-Trading, Funds and Global Product Onboarding

- Manage KYC and Onboarding BAU Functions, including providing leadership for KYC production teams, oversight for relevant projects and remediation, risk and control objectives and stakeholder management.

- Manage Client Management Services (CMS) BAU Functions, including providing leadership for eTrading, Fund Onboarding and Product Onboarding production teams, oversight for relevant projects and remediation, risk and control objectives and stakeholder management.

- Support policy, procedure and regulatory change, in particular in Asia. In addition, support all audits and regulatory inspections where necessary.

- Provide leadership for Asia Wholesale Onboarding team and the wider Operations Community

What will you be doing?

- Provide governance and oversight for Asia KYC, Onboarding and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) with coverage across Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Shanghai.

- Manage Stakeholder engagement, including provision of periodic updates, prioritisation according to business initiatives, and escalations

- Provide manager's approval where applicable in line with KYC policies and procedures

- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, with appropriate controls in place and timely periodic review of processes

- Partner Risk & Control Officer and Client Rigour to continuously assess and maintain appropriate controls

- Ensure quality of KYC through quality assurance framework, which includes continuous education and second level verification

- Liaise with other departments including Legal, GFRM, Salespersons, Compliance, COO etc., in ensuring appropriate and successful completion of Onboarding Clients in Asia.

- Manage Client Management Services (CMS) BAU Functions, including providing leadership for eTrading, Fund Onboarding and Product Onboarding production teams, oversight for relevant projects and remediation, risk and control objectives and stakeholder management.

- Provide governance and oversight for CMS teams, including eTrading, Funds Onboarding and Global Products Onboarding.

- Manage Stakeholder engagement, including provision of periodic updates, prioritisation according to business initiatives, and escalations

- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, with appropriate controls in place and timely periodic review of processes

- Responsible for understanding the impact to and ensuring client readiness for trading.

- Assist with design and implementation of new processes to ensure clients- experience are maximised, and clients are compliant for all necessary regulations.

- Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders including but not limited to Legal, Compliance, Business representatives and multiple middle and back office teams

- Partner Risk & Control Officer and Client Rigour to continuously assess and maintain appropriate controls

- Support policy, procedure and regulatory change, in particular in Asia. In addition, support all audits and regulatory inspections where necessary.

- Support change projects, including regulatory, policy and procedure change

- Support audits and regulatory inspections through ensuring samples files requested are provided timely, and response to any queries as necessary

- Ensure timely implementation of new or amended policies and procedures, including completion of training and establishing strong process controls in partnership with Risk and Control officers or Client Rigour

- Provide leadership for Asia Wholesale Onboarding team and the wider Operations Community

- As part of APAC Wholesale Onboarding Leadership team, participate and contribute to regional and global strategic initiatives

- Act as role model for APAC KYC Onboarding team and the wider Ops community, providing leadership and mentorship

- As part of APAC Operations Management Team, participate and contribute to APAC Operations strategic initiatives

What we're looking for :

- Relevant years- experience in an AML/FinCrime or EDD role

- Prior experience in managing regulatory inspections/audit, or employed by a regulator in an inspection related role, managing AML regulatory and policy change and performing EDD and/or managing an EDD team

- Strong communication skills, in particular for external communication with regulators and auditors

- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills

- Exceptional Stakeholder and Team Management skills

- Strong written skills

- Strong analytical ability and judgement

- Ability to identify and differentiate between Financial Crime AML Risk and Reputational Risk

- Assess risk and identify mitigating factors

- Adopt and maintain a logical approach in a pressurised environment

- Knowledge and understanding of the risk associated with Special Customer Types (PEPs, MSB, Gaming etc) and AML Red flags

Skills that will help you in the role :

- Degree holder, preferably Finance/Accounting related

- AML related qualifications (e.g. ACAMS)

- Expertise in KYC, CDD and Enhanced Due Diligence processes

- Strong report writing and influencing skills
