Jr. Architect (VP)
Principal Responsibilities:
- The jobholder is responsible for Assist the Country Lead Architect in expediting Cloud Adoption and Migration across the market including End to End IT Delivery for Global business/Global functions by working very closely with GB/GF Leadership.
- The responsibilities span across several development activities managing multiple facets of GB/GF, including the India Digital Journey.
- Assist Lead Architect in creating a market specific Technology Blueprint and IT Strategy while actively owning creation of necessary and applicable artefacts.
- Assist cloud infrastructure design and develop detailed architecture models.
- Plan for system and application migration to the cloud, adhering to the technical and business requirements
- Develop and document technical designs for integration and implementation of new cloud applications and systems
- Optimize cost of cloud solutions by identifying waste and automating cloud cost management
- Plan and develop support processes that adhere to best practices
- Communicate effectively through strong written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Integrate with non-cloud technologies and third-party vendor products/services
- Assess emerging technologies, stay abreast of industry trends, and give advice on investments prices versus performance
- Experience with highly-available and fault-tolerant
- Focuses on enabling end-to-end cloud journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services
Requirements:
- The job holder will assist the business to execute business strategy from a technology perspective.
- The job holder will represent IT in all COO/Business Forums/Regional IT forums.
- The majority of the challenges faced by the job holder are of a technical or Cloud Management nature. They are mostly related to applications, system integration
- Close Alignment to Industry and IT Start ups to help client early adopters of disrupting technologies
- The role includes vendor management, working with all internal stakeholders, building relationship with HTI, etc.
Qualifications - External
- University graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
- 7+ years of work experience related to the banking and financial services organization
- Relevant experience in participating in or managing complex IT change initiatives / projects
- Min. 7 years of experience in technology related experience in which at least 3 years of experience as an infrastructure architect
- Experience architecting and infrastructure on one or more major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure). Detailed understanding of cloud-native concepts and trade-offs.
- Experience with migrations to the cloud from both physical and virtual environments a must.
- Passionate to work on and promote usage of new technologies.
- Technical project delivery experience is a must including liaising with different stakeholders .
- Strong communication, negotiation / influencing and presentation skills
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle crisis situations and take appropriate / timely decisions
- Ability to work well under pressure with high degree of accuracy
- Project management experience and proven ability to coordinate initiatives
- Have sound exposure in dealing with IT vendors
- Strong team working ethic- actively contributes to the team, leading by example. Helps to maintain a co-operative, conscientious and customer focused environment
