Vice President - IT Application - FinTech

- 12 to 15 years of Experience in the IT Software / Service Industry / Startup with having relevant prior experience of managing mission critical systems.

- Preferably in the Fintech areas but can come from any other consumer internet industry as well. Experience in broking industry will be an added advantage.

- Define and implement the Technology strategy, Technology Roadmap, defining the right tech stack for the business.

- Leading the team to bring the right engineering culture and innovation in setting up right tools and framework for Design, Development, DevOps.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Heads and other vendors and external stakeholders in implementing the right Tech for the business

- Leading the team in defining the right engineering culture and standards by developing documentation, layouts, architecture diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

- Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

- Supports and develops software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities

- Knowledgeable across a broad set of infrastructure platforms (commodity hardware, windows OS, Linux OS, etc)

- Skilled in IT budgeting, tracking, reporting and Cost optimizations for the given project.

- Good overview of IT Security policies and their implementation.

- Negotiate with outsourcers, vendors and contractors for infrastructure and application specific products and services.

Key Skills :

- Deep and demonstrated understanding of latest technology stack and architecture

- Must have built complex technology architecture and design systems in an entrepreneurial environment

- Hands-on coding and design/architecture skills

- Played a role in Architecting Digital Transformation / Turnkey IT projects

- Experienced and hands-on Mobile App Development using React Native

- Good understanding of API using JSON, Caching using Redis and queuing solution like Kafka

- Good understanding of various SQL & NoSQL databases

- Good understanding in leading automation and analytics

- Hands-on on DevOps practices

- Good Project Management skills

- Leadership skills in leading an IT application, infrastructure and operations organizations towards Cloud-first operations and Agile mindset

- Good organization change management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

- Strong analytical capability and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
