Vice President - Investment Banking Operations

Target designations: She should currently be at VP designation or 3 years + tenured AVP.

Target companies: Investment banks.

Hierarchy: She will report to Senior VP.

Experience: Mandatory 10-12+ years of relevant experience

Relevant experience:

- FX

- Investment Banking Operations

- End-to-end processes in the Confirmations and/or securities and cash Settlements

- Settlement of trades for products such as OTC - Equity. Bonds, Repo, Exchange Trade Funds, Stock loans,

- Trade processing and settlement

- Understanding of Continuous Linked Statements, Exchange & related Market Regulations

Job stability: There shouldn't be more than 3-4 job hops in span of 10 years. If there are, please specify why.

Regions to be handled: Pune and Chennai.

Travel: She must travel to Chennai according to the projects as she will oversee both locations

Shift: (6:30 A.M - 3:30 P.M) Pick & drop service or travel allowance will be provided.

Technicalities: Should have strong product knowledge with up-to-date technical knowledge, applications and techniques.

STRICT NO to manager or senior manager level candidates.

- Foster strong working relationships with both internal (i.e. FO, Audit, Compliance, Legal and Finance) and external counterparts (i.e. Regulators, External Audit and Vendors). Confident communication (written, verbal / presentations). Effective management of key client relationships and promotion of Barclays Operations as a differentiating factor from its peers

What we're looking for:

- Relevant years of experience in a banking operations

- Relevant experience in a Senior Operations Manager role

- Degree educated

- The candidate should have a history of cross operational expertise with detailed knowledge of trad processing and settlement process.

- Strong understanding of the end-to-end processes in the Confirmations and/or Settlements

- Proven track record at managing diverse teams

- Strong communication skills, fluent in English

- Ability to run and manage large teams

- Ability to lead from front and also act as key team player

- Strong people management skills

- Strong Risk and Control focus

- A high level of focus on strategic vision

- Strong understanding of relevant and up-to-date technical knowledge, applications and techniques.

- Strong understanding of the changing regulatory environment and its impact on Operations.

- Excellent project management skills and a proven track record of implementing change

- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external clients.

- Insight into external market developments and initiatives

- Highly numerate with analytical problem solving ability.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Understanding of CLS, Exchange & related Market Regulations

- FX, Derivatives and OTC Equities Product experience.
