Vice President - Investment Banking (5-9 yrs)
Job Description: Vice President Investment Banking
The Firm: A leading banking and financial services firm
Work Location: Mumbai/Bangalore
Primary responsibilities:
- Play an important role in the execution on a deal or proposals including but not limited to financial analysis, financial modeling, credit analysis, industry research, preparation of offering memoranda and interacting with our clients
- Prepare various presentation and pitch materials
- Support senior team members in day-to-day project management and coordination with other professional parties
Other Responsibilities:
- Play a critical role as the leader on teams to manage the deal process from origination to close
- Sector coverage: Across sectors with a focus on MSME and NBFCs/MFIs/HFCs
- Leading execution on buy/sell-side M&A and private equity fund raise.
- End-to-end process management and team coordination.
- Fronting discussions / negotiations with investors and clients.
- Working relationships with various collaborators (viz. diligence vendors, lawyers).
- Sector inputs, valuation guidance, investor road-shows.
- Deal origination through regular coverage.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (rank holder or first attempt) / PGDM (Finance) / MBA preferably from a premium institute with experience with strong record of academic achievement.
- 5-9 years of post-qualification experience in investment banking.
- Hands-on experience with IB products including M&A, PE fund raise.
- End-to-end deal execution experience.
- Strong financial modelling and presentation skills.
- Sector knowledge and strong industry network.
- Excellent analytical, modeling, and client management skills
- Must exercise good judgment in assessing risks and rewards of new business opportunities
- Strong ability to work in an entrepreneurial culture
