VP HR Compliances and Health and Safety


- Build and maintain strong relationships with Divisional Senior Leadership teams, People & Culture Team, Risk teams, Comcare (regulator) and external industry and self-insurer bodies to deliver and drive a positive safety culture and outcomes

- Promote the business benefits of proactive and sound health, safety and wellbeing (HSW) risk management to business leaders

- Coaching business leaders in supporting and implementing strategies to manage HSW risks

- Engage partners in Property and Security to manage inherent HSW risks

- Creating value by understanding business context, challenges and opportunities and using data to determine People strategies needed to deliver commercial impact

- Ensure People plans enable business strategies and improve the customer experience and other enterprise priorities

- Provide strategic HR consulting to the Business Units or Division, that enables our employees to deliver on the strategic business plans

- Engage the Business Units or Division on the merits of one-way, same-way solutions for core HR processes and practices, whilst accommodating business specific strategic requirements from time to time

- Provide coaching and advice to Executives within the Business Units or Division as required, to ensure they manage the impacts on people or person specific issues in a respectful way, aligned to NAB's values and behaviors

- Provide change management and organizational development expertise to enable business strategies

- Ensure a sustainable pipeline of talent and succession for senior roles to mitigate key risks and/or capability gaps

- Implement People-related policies, programs and directives to support the above responsibilities

- Collaborate across the People Division to deliver commercial, value-added services and initiatives to enable business strategy

Essential capabilities :

- Ability to build strong relationships, and motivate / influence a range of stakeholders at all levels (direct and indirect)

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Project and change management skills

- An understanding of risk management frameworks

Other capabilities : Transition and Project Management Experience

Experience :

- 10+ experience in HSW advisory experience

- Experience in coaching, leading and developing others

Qualification Requirements :

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or related disciplines ( Any certification preferred)

- Graduation any domain ( MBA preferred)
