Vice President/Head - Pricing Actuary

- The role will be a key member of the P&C UW Support Hub Bangalore leadership team

- The role will work closely with P&C UW Asia Hub Head (mainly on Property, Motor and Liability). Major tasks include:

- Prepare regular reports on P&C Treaty and Fac performances

- Take lead in annual Business Plan process - co-ordinate with all P&C deskheads for their inputs on Core, Transactions and Solutions. Review and challenge if necessary. Collate inputs to formulise an overall picture for Asia Hub Head. Work closely with global & regional Finance team and be prepared to answer queries from top management

- The role will liaise with Risk Management and Governance on a regular basis operational risk management. You are obliged to carefully review and update our Property & Casualty Risk Control Self Assessment (RCSA) during each quarter, and seek the sigh-off from Asia Hub Head. You will also be responsible to ensure completion of any governance actions as required by RCSA.

- The role will provide costing peer review for or support larger and/or complex P&C Treaty business in the region.

- The role will take lead / provide support to various global / regional projects.

- The role (together with the team) will also have the opportunity to support P&C Solutions and P&C Transactions, which are important pillars of company reinsurance strategy

- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in Insurance or Reinsurance - preferably with experience in reserving/pricing/Catastrophe Loss modelling /Underwriting function

- Bachelor degree (or above) in Actuarial Science / Finance / Statistics or related discipline

- Fellow member of recognized actuarial societies

- Proactive and strong communicator, both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to articulate thought processes & suggestions in a clear, structured and concise manner.

- Strong team-player with proven ability to collaborate with teams in other locations

- Demonstrated strong ability to understand the needs of the Underwriting community

- Familiarity with Asia Insurance / Reinsurance market would be an advantage

- Team leading experience of strong actuarial /insurance analytics/ Underwriting will be preferred.

- Willingness to travel to the other locations in Asia occasionally if needed
