Vice President/Head - IT Infrastructure - BFSI (10-15 yrs)

Role Summary

IT Infrastructure Head would be responsible for managing the IT Infrastructure backbone - namely DC & Network/sin one or more locations for the business. In addition, the candidate would help with developing Infrastructure and Network systems as the company grows. He/ She should be able to demonstrate on how to setup a 24- 7 IT Operations & team along with providing innovative solutions for lowering incident SLAs, increasing business up-time.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Define and maintain the infrastructure strategy for the business keeping in mind the business objectives

2. Evaluate and develop the cloud strategy for the business ---Clix will work on a hybrid approach

3. Manage the IT Operations for Infrastructure and Network Initiate, plan and execute new infrastructure projects - servers/storage

4. Review and improve established operating policies Maintain communication with functional managers to ensure issues are resolved

5. Generate reports for management in regards to service availability, uptime, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and SLAs etc.

6. Maintain & Ensure the operations is UP & running 24- 7

7. Maintain and improve the 24/7 Operations Center program

8. Deploy new infrastructure as per the project plan

9. Responsible for a closure of infrastructure related incidents within SLAs

10. Execute proactive maintenance calendar for Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly activities

11. Coordinate with vendors for services and drive operational efficiency

12. Ensure Audit compliance on Data Center infrastructure & Operations

13. Lead the incident management for IT Operations

14. Lead the emergency Change Management requirements

15. Responsible for RCA/Problem management and ensuring minimum repeat issues

16. Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to the design of network architecture, integration, and installation.

17. Maintains network hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, and wiring.

18. Evaluates network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations.

19. Planning network infrastructure for new applications and services/ DR

20. Integrating mobile devices into the organization's networks, either (or both of) organizational and personal devices (BYOD)

21. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of service/ projects - commissioning of new sites etc. for business

22. Experience installing network cabling, telephony systems, active directory, Group Policies and more.

Qualifications/ Requirements General Qualifications:

- Degree educated (or equivalent) in Information Technology (BE/ Computer Science or MBA)

- PMP/ ITIL v3 Certification will be preferred

- Administrator/network manager certifications may be helpful, an example from Cisco/ Juniper Networks/ any other major vendor

- Proficient in Excel, Word, Visio and MS Project

Experience:

- Should have 10-15 years of IT experience in the network/ infrastructure domain/ end user services and min 4 yr doing applications and infra support as Project/Operations Manager for handling IT Infrastructure team.

- Should have supported infrastructure - servers/compute, storage, etc.

- Should have good knowledge of operations transitions, project scoping, SLA definition, measurement and technology solutions for meeting the same.

- Should have good knowledge of Support desk function and process like Incident, problem, change management

- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in network and infrastructure provisioning and management

- Should have good people management skills and have working relationships with service providers.
