Are you a governance and risk management leader with strong cross-functional influence ? Were looking for a VP First Line Finance Issues Management Leader to drive the Issues Management Program across our Finance organization. This role offers high visibility, strategic impact, and an opportunity to lead in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and represent the Issues Management program for the Finance function.

- Standardize issue, incident, and remediation processes including documentation, root cause analysis, and reporting.

- Partner with cross-functional teams on internal loss data reporting, trend analysis, and issue remediation.

- Facilitate issue review meetings with stakeholders across Finance, Compliance, Operational Risk, Internal Audit, and more.

- Oversee remediation for significant events and help embed strong governance practices across the function.

- Support additional governance activities: RCSA, SOX, Exam Support, Policies, Supplier Oversight, etc.

- Lead webinars, training sessions, and collaborate with L&D to promote awareness and adherence to governance standards.

What Were Looking For :

- 8+ years of experience in a regulated Financial Services organization, or Internal/External Audit in the FS domain.

- At least 5 years in Governance, Risk & Control roles with hands-on Issues Management experience.

- Experience working with SOX, RCSA, audit processes, and regulatory bodies.

- Strong communication and presentation skills able to interact with senior leaders and stakeholders.

- Proven experience in driving cross-functional initiatives, matrix leadership, and influencing change.

- Strong documentation, analytical, time management, and organizational skills.

- CPA or finance-related certifications preferred.

- Ideal candidates have experience in centralized governance functions, have worked with Finance systems, and understand regulatory engagements and frameworks inside out.
